We've been to Goa several times now and thought we might have a change this year.
We thought we might try Sri Lanka or Gambia Has anyone been to either?
We both love Goa but would love any info on either of the above places before we make our minds up to return to Goa again.

sorry I didn't get time to post on here before, but have been busy getting ready for our holiday on wednesday. I remembered you was going in hospital though and did pray for you. Have been to Gambia _ Banjul and Kololi Beach - weather fantastic(Nov - April) food not too bad but not as interesting and flavoursome as Goa) my main against (and it is only personal opinion!!!!) - I find the locals quite menacing - they are very difficult to 'get rid of'. They are always on the look out to fleece you - loads of sob stories and men on their own get propositioned by girls young enough to be their daughters/granddaughters (great for some but don't forget the cost - heallth and money!!!!!!) Worse, the Gambian young men are extremely experienced in the way of 'charming 'the unattached females, whatever age. Give me Goa anyday.

London is supposed to be one of the worst areas.

Ive been to Cyprus (Paphos) in January and weather was very pleasant. Not sunbathing weather but nice enough to walk about with a light jacket or cardigan on.
