If you fell able I would definitely go with out him and have a fabulous time just to get up his hooter!
You will be safe yes, just do as you do here if you was to go anywhere alone EG dont accept drinks from strangers, walk alone in secluded areas at night.
Where are you staying? I know there a few lone travelers going over the Xmas period staying in Calangute area.
Of course you should come, why waste a perfectly good holiday, plus if you tell him your going he may change his mind.If you have been before then you should know you will be safe, theres plenty of women who travel alone. it

Is he the sort of person who would cut off his own nose to spite his face? I used to live with someone like that (childish), and after a while I had to leave him because it wore me down.
Pour gravy in all his shoes, empty his bank accout, cane all his credit cards, then stay in Goa for the rest of the season, also have your picture taken with a different waiter everyday and send it back to him!
God that brings back memories, I booked my hol 2 months ago with my partner, 2 weeks later we split up (HIM NOT ME), so I cancelled it straight away. We then decided to get back together (after he begged me of course)!!!!, so we re-booked and are now leaving on 27 Dec.....cant wait!!! No doubt your man will come to his senses as well!!!!!
You should go......you'll have a great time and it may help you put some things in perspective and make a few changes!!
As said go! You'll have a great time. You always meet people out there. I'm a bloke so its different but i'd definatly go alone if someone pulled out.
this may come across the wrong way but here goes......how can anybody take this post seriously
I believe it. Do you not believe men can be awkward, stubborn and childish then Richard
I would say to Pauljim - go it alone I did in March only because OH was working and said I deserved another holiday. I always felt safe and did not feel intimidated at all. Just take precautions. Try to travel with taxi drivers you know don't walk alone in secluded areas. Have a good time !!!!!
I dont know what I would do in the circumstances, depends what the fall out is about etc or even if the post is genuine.
What if Pauljim's o.h. is a total prat; is he the sort of person who would to get back at her, throw all her stuff out of the house while she was away?

thanks to all who understand times like i have been having for the past week and sorry to all the people who lives are so wounderful they dont have a crossed word. anyway been doing some of the things advised like getting cases ready booking airport and the ice seems to be breaking so there will probably be two of us at the meet fingers croosed

And if there isn't two of you, just go on your own and have a great time. I had a week alone over there in November (but for different reasons) and I had a fantastic time. Go to the meets, the guys will make sure you are okay and just heed the advice given by other HTers regarding personal safety - be as aware as you would be anywhere else.
