I actually work for first choice and have been overwelmed with the amount of calls regarding this place.
I visited the Dom rep in feb and stayed at another hotel but one day i went to visit this complex and personally didnt see anything wrong with it, the hotel looked clean and the buffet and food that they were serving look very nice, everyone genually look as if they were enjoying them selves.

It only really takes a few comments on here for everyone to have a bad imagine on a hotel and people just come straight off their holiday and have a moan.

I think the problem with this place is the fact that it hasnt been identified earlier because people just come off holiday and post there thoughts on here.... instead of talking to us and feeding back to us the problems that they have experienced
If there were any problems to do with sickness or service they surely would have been addressed if people actually told the company of what was going on.

The hotel is rated a 4 star property and no one else apart from the people who are employed to rate the hotels can say otherwise, it is personal opinion as to wether a personal likes a property or not and what some people may rate as a 3 star others rate as a 5 star.

All i can say is if you do have a problem with hotel that you visit make sure to mention this when you get back to the Uk and tell your operator who can look into this and make sure nothing like this happens again.

Tcx can I just ask did you visit as part of a fact finding mission I just find it strange to read that you stayed elsewhere but were able to visit as I know this can be quite difficult to arrange in the D.R.
If you were sent to find out and report back were you able to see any of the rooms and did you see any of the entertainment on offer any feedback would be great.Like i have said I am keeping my booking as it is I have heard mixed reviews but am giving it the benefit of the doubt.
You are quite right to say that people should report it in if they find fault I once received an 80 per cent refund on a holiday that really was a holiday from Hell.

Thanks for your comment there, i stayed in another hotel because i travelled with a friend of mine who works for Thomson holidays as Cabin crew and he took me as a buddy.... i took time to go and have a look at the hotel for myself because of the things that i heard about it.
I was able to have a look around as i took my identification with me of who i was and also got talking to the rep in the hotel.

Im glad you agree with the comment that i put forward regarding giving feedback on the hotel to the company... because after all nothing can be done about the problem if no one actually reports it to the holiday company.

The entertainment was great for the children and the rooms looked very nice as well, i never once saw anything that can pin point any comment that has been made about the place on here

Not all the reveiws are bad I am booked for August and I am staying booked it will be our second time in the d.r I cannot wait to go back.

I can confirm if you and your partner are 18 years old or above you will get a wristband, you have your passport with age on for proof anyway.

We are now actually thinking to upgrade to royal suites? Anyone done this & recommend it?

The royal suites are very good but they can be booked up pretty fast, id advise you to give FC a bell as soon as to see if there are any rooms available on the date your travelling.

on the FC site when you go to upgrade room theres Royal DLX double but it says quantity: 1. so yeah i better ring up asap!

Just rang, man was very rude! he said they are all sold out so i asked him why it said they were available on the website and he said they are all sold out! im going to ring again in the morning & query this as if it is sold out why havent they updated their website?!
If i could cancel & book again for the same price i paid i would, but we've upgraded our flight already and would probs miss out on the good price we got for the hotel!

my mum rang up for me (pretended shes me) as i hate doing things like that everything with me is online so she booked it for moi
