Get on the Camping Cheques Website
http://www.campingcheque.co.uk/en/

then click on "Our Campsites"
then in the word France in the map
then on the bottom right quarter of the map and pick one of the sites there most are 4-5*

Camping cheques are great for us couples but additional kids cost more but the website has some fantastic sites

WE will be there in 25 days time

There is a fantastic campsite in Frejus called Domaine de Colombiers, which is one of the nearest to the town and has been completely rebuilt following a fire in 2003. We have just returned and the swimming complex and mobile homes are excellent. We have a 3 bed with air con for 2 adults and four children and it was outstanding. Some operators are on site (Canvas/Thomson ALfresco) but we booked independently. Definitely worth thinking and they can be found on http://www.airotel.com.

We have just returned from the 'Prairies De Lar Mar' site in Port Grimaud... We rented a static caravan from a friend on mine and it was brilliant. Thomson AlFresco were directly opposite our home and their reps (Donna and John) we very helpful during our stay.

Suke and Gamble Holidays also had places to rent on the site.

Hopefully we will return next year

We have just returned from Camp du Pylone, Biot (near Antibes).

It was absolutely wonderful. We booked independently and the caravan was fantastic. The campsite has the most wonderful friendly feel. There is a swimming pool (small charge in July and August) plus a bar with nightly entertainment, restaurant and take-away and also the best bakery which is open all day.

It is situated right next to Antibes Land and the Marine Land complex, which is just fabulous. The train station (and bus stops) are about 3 mins walk from the camp entrance so a car is not needed at all.

Our children are 5 years and 18 months and we all had the best holiday. We have never returned to the same holiday destination as we always have felt there is more to explore but we all loved it so much that we are already booking for 2006. We haven't stayed in a caravan very often but were very impressed with the facilities. Try http://www.mobileriviera.com or http://www.southoffranceholidays.com or http://www.rivierafrance.co.uk.

We can't wait to go back! :D

Would agree that Camping du Pylone is a good site, well located and with good facilities, but just a warning if you are planning to stay in one of the mobiles.

A number of the mobiles are owned by an English lady called Anne Pringle. She advertises on the internet and the prices appear very cheap, but no photos of the mobiles are displayed. There is a reason for this - they are very old and in very poor condition and they smell musty when you enter them. She will provide sheets and towels at an additional cost, but again these are very old and, frankly, minging.

Other than that we would not have a problem staying on the site again (in one of the other mobiles obviously)

Have stayed in Holiday Green and it is also good but not on a par of La Sirene.

If the kids are young and in buggies though its not suitable as its hilly and you need a car
