1st thing we have never been charged baggage coming home,
2nd the bug. you may be ok as it`s the heat and Air con that causes the bug(hot and cold) you need Antinal from the local pharmacy, can`t get it in this country.
3rd cannot answer the hassle. we don`t usually go outside the hotel, just remember that is their way of life so make any hassle/haggling fun. we do..
sorry not much help but everyone has different expectations hence the diff reviews. we have been to Rhodes,Majorca,Lanzarote and Tunisia with the kids and we all prefer Egypt, we are off on Thursday for the 3rd year running.

Hi the scams at the airport are well known. check the scales are set to zero before you put your cases on. You can always buy travel scales. If they do try to say you are over weight ( some have been charged in excess of £60 ) are you are certain you are not make a fuss and ask to see the manager and if no one comes tell them you will get the tourist police.

Ref trip to Cairo are you booking this with a tour company or just getting on at the bus station yourself. The buses that go from the bus stations are used by many local workers who go back home for a couple of weeks but cant see that they would bother you.

Ignore it. Most people are not con artists. Just keep your wits about you as you would in any situation.

How can you ignore it?? It happens all the time and new visitors need to be aware of this and what to do and be prepared.

Sorry, not sure of your question, are you asking what to do if you get ill with the runs? If so, go to the chemist immediately and they will give you tablets which will stop it immediately and for under £2. Anything you take from the UK will not work,so not work even taking it with you.
