I wouldn't take anything reported on that programme too seriously. They are in the business of showing the very worst that can happen, but the chances of it happening to you are minimal.

Don't worry, I have been twice, one at a two star and recently at a 4 star. Both hotels were lovely as are most of the hotels in Luxor. You will have a great holiday! Enjoy

The holiday that was shown on holidays uncovered was to Sharm not Luxor. I know these programmes tend to exagerate however it still didnt look to good from what was shown. I would contact your tour operator, they must have received other such querys since the programme was aired.
