Hi,
The resort I am travelling to is currently closed due to water shortage and 'could' be by the time I get to the resort in a few weeks time so I have asked the agency to change my holiday. I am told that I would have to pay
the difference in fees because at the moment they are not sure the resort will be shut. I don't want to wait till the last day before dept. to find out that
I am not going somewhere else which is not to my satisfaction. They have also told me that
the internal flights have been paid for and that they cannot be changed.
Although their brochure states that alteration by them will incur a compensation figure, they are saying that the agency is not responsible for the water shortage so
they are not willing to pay compensation if the holiday has to be changed. I asked them if I would have been
entitled to compensation if it came to the point wherby they had to change my
holiday.
any advice would be appreciated.
thks
The more information then the better the information and advice.
The resort may be closed at present as you say but by the time you travel the problem may be resolved. In this case I can understand the agent advising there will be charges.
You are requesting a change be made on a something that may not happen. As I have said if you post more detail we may be able to give you more information.
Read the Terms & Conditions that you have agreed and signed. I think you will find the agency? will be quoting them and are therefore correct in their stance.
Please post more detail so we can try to help.
