Hi can you please help with the following:
In March we booked a holiday for August and looked forward to receiving our documents 1 month prior to travel as the brochure states.
In May we paid our holiday in full.
One month before we called into TA to ask if documents were ready and told no try 2 weeks time. 2 weeks later we again called and was advised no not ready yet. One week later becoming more concerned we again called into TA and again was told they were not ready. I rang the TA the next day (6 days before departure) and they chased tickets which we were told were being posted that day. Next day 5 days before departure we received our tickets which were all printed from the internet with no explanation for the delay. Usually for this type of holiday you receive a brochure of things to do before, tours etc. On return from our holiday we wrote to the travel company to be told the reason they did not send our tickets out was even after several reminders to the TA the bill was not paid. I wrote a letter to TA asking for explanation. Two weeks later no reply chased them to be told letter was not received so to email it and they would ring me to confirm (incorrect email address was given). Still waiting for call. Rang yesterday 4 weeks after my initial letter and was advised no letter or email received. I asked for the name of a manager and want to speak to them. Manager rang to advise letter was sent to me however can not say when as there was no date on. I have now been informed that the brochure that states four weeks is wrong as all tickets are received 2 weeks prior to travel. The reason tickets were not dispatched was that the TA did not pay the travel company the full amount. They informed me they run reports daily of customers travelling 2 weeks later to ensure tickets are received. Therefore I asked why did this not identify my tickets were not received and if we had not chased when if ever would we have received the tickets. We did not get our preferred sitting for dinner and wonder if this was because of the non full payment we were last minute additions. Any comments on if I should progress with this would be appreciated.

Lesson learned by you - take your business elsewhere in future.
Lesson learned (or not) by TA - Treat customers in this fashion and a visit to the job centre is on the cards.

Thanks for the reply. I have been offered £100 holiday voucher so need to decide what to do.
£100 of holiday vouchers for not receiving your tickets 2 weeks before you travelled and not getting your evening dinner at the time you would have preferred/requested.... what's the decision???? I'm gobsmacked you were offered anything!
Who issued the vouchers? The TA or the tour op/holiday company?

The TA admit they sent over monies however it was short by £200. The voucher is from the TA. The reason I am doubting is to use the voucher I will have to go with TA again and I said I would not. But maybe I should give them one last try to put things right?
Will they let you use them for currency or do you have to use them for a holiday?
If you have used the TA previously with no problems, then you are probably best to chalk this up as a one off blip. If not, then you may be wise to ask around to see if anyone else has had bad experiences... If they have, then steer clear.
Don't rush your decision - they have made the offer, now it's up to you to decide whether to accept it or not. They can't expect you to make a decision overnight.

It's the first time we have used this TA as our previous TA the girl left and it was never the same. Might keep them holding for a while as you say, but yes I will let you know.

We had a terrible time trying to use some a few years back, they wouldnt take them for two late bookings or against any prices we found over the Internet. Then they said they were only valid for holidays of over seven nights.
There is normally a time limit on their use.
All in all they were a right pain.
