Karen - Sleep on it. your brain must be cooking at the end of the day you have plenty of time to decide. maybe try and narrow it down to a couple tomorrow but Chris is right If both hotels have good reviews it comes down to cost and £300 will buy you a lot in sharm. I hadnt read the reviews on the conrad when i posted about the coral ones but they look just as good.
relax and enjoy .

Ellie, the food was fine. We too have got a very fussy 12 year old and he never went hungry. if he couldn't find anything he liked he asked for chips or pizza and it was not a problem.
There is alsoa very reasonable room service menu should you feel the need for it. breakfast is 1st class especially the omellettes and crepes. Oh and the pastries.
As your husband is Padi qualified he will be in heaven. we tended to chill out at the beach bar in the morning then go out for a dive in the afternoon at the house reef then back to the beach bar for refreshments and pastries.
If he likes he can also go on the dive boats whenever he pleases. All from the convenience from the hotel and at your pace.
Yes, perhaps thirty seconds from room to sea would be more accurate
thanks for your replies ill have a good think about it and decide, hubby is saying go for the conrad as £300 is a lot of difference, i didnt mind paying that if the food was much better especially for my daughter, but she loves pancakes so thats great they do that, do they have free ice creams , think ill most likely opt for the conrad getting a free child place helps
Of course it takes longer for Pippy to get to the beach at the Conrad... she practically lives in the internet cafe up near the reception !
Ellie good news they do have ice cream and loads of it on A/I. the mango flaver is delicious and the vanilla, and the strawberry, and the chocolate. need I say more.
Just IMHO you understand.
I feel that younger children are less suseptible to tummy upsets at buffet hotels than adults. Adults seem to be more adventurous in what they eat, having all sorts (We like to try foods we can't get at home as it's part of the fun of being abroad LOL). Little kids are quite conservative, choosing plain things like pancakes, cheese and tom pizzas, chicken and chips, cereal, breads etc. stuff they recognise from home.
I know where your coming from though, I don't want tummy problems myself on hols but I could cope, but would be mortified if my kids got something cos I'd feel responsible for choosing the hotel.
Your poor head. Must be buzzin.
Someones put a good map of hotel locations up on the thread "What one to choose" that might help you.
Naama bay would be good for you as there is KFC, McDonalds and Hard Rock Cafe there. There is also Pacha nightclub which is open til at least 4 am. Well rated by some friends we made there!
I would def go back to this area again. It was our first time in Egypt and we loved it. Better than any of our other hols like Turkey, Majorca, Tenerife etc.
Hope this helps, and please ask if there is anything else I can tell you.
claire naama bay sounds good but first choice dont seem to do this area and sadly im changing from morocco to another resort so have to stay with first choice so im restricted
andy these fab ice creams that are free is that at conrad or coral
has anyone stayed at both or visited both and know if the coral is worth £300 more for 2 weeks for 3 of us than the conrad thanks
However, regarding your dilemma First choice do do the Kiroseiz three corners which is AI and near Naama bay. Would probably cost you £2 to get into Naama, or the hotel does a courtesy bus I think. Handy when you have a child and you can take them to McD's!! Also there is the Tropicana Rosetta. This is also offered by first choice, and a lot cheaper but isn't AI. It is also nearer Naama bay than The Kiroseiz. It may be worth seeing how much cheaper the Tropicana is though as food is so cheap in Egypt, you might find it's not worth going AI!
Hope this helps, Claire
i cant find any of these hotels you mention on the first choice/eclipse websites or in their brochures do first choice definatley do them
yes definitely! I was just looking at them on the first choice website! I will try and pm you a link.
maybe they not available the dates i want or from a midlands airport, im looking for whit, thanks for your help claire
No it won't let me send a link. If you go on the first choice site though and select your dates and choose sharm el sheikh, it will bring both of those hotels up. We nearly went to the Kiroseiz. It seems to have good reviews.
i can only select red sea or egypt or am i doing something wrong
tropicana for bb is the same as conrad all inc !!!! wow
oh ouch! How did the kiroseiz three corners come out?
yes that was dearer than both coral and conrad, 1750 ish so i lot more than the conrad and about 100 more than coral approx
Oh well, if you don't look you don't get I suppose! Have fun whichever one you choose. Claire
Karen - I think it must be the free kids place that's keeping the price at the Conrad down. If that goes they will probably all be pretty similar.
