dont talk to me about ntl grr im on it too and it was running so slow last night took me ages to reply etc, i still havent made my mind up, grrr the price i got for the conrad is a basic room no views etc i put in sea view and bath and the price went up £200 , so now wondering if the room that came out cheap was some room shoved at the back looking at a wall etc lol

Ah. That might explain it. I was confused because for me the Coral Sea has always come out cheaper than the Conrad when I have been pricing up. If theres no that much difference you better of going with the Coral if that it what your instinct is telling you.

I don't think any of the Conrad rooms face a wall.
As far as I remember almost all of them have either a sea or pool view.

*Edit. And all rooms have either a balcony or terrace, both large.*

it says in description 1 twin with shower and toilet thats all it says, if i add terrace or balcony the price goes up £84 then if i add bath and sea view it goes up nearly another £100 so i assumed by this it didnt have any

Hmmmm, strange.

Maybe I'm wrong but I can't recall seeing any rooms which didn't have either a balcony or terrace.

I'd email the hotel if I were you, see if they can clarify the situation.
The email address in on their website HERE. Title the email urgent as they can take a while to reply

In case you haven't seen it, there's a Conrad thread HERE.

thanks ive emailled them ill see what they come back with, ive read that ice creams arent inc yet, yet another member told me they were do you know if they are or not as my daughter is an ice cream gannet, he might have been referring to the coral sea as cant make mind you which is the best, ive also had a quote for the savita resort and spa but cant find any info on that hotel

I don't know about the ice cream I'm afraid as none of us ate it, sorry!

If it was Altoman who posted the info then it would have been the Conrad as he's been there twice and is going again next year.

I noticed there's also a telephone number on the website if you need to speak to someone at the hotel.
They are very helpful at the main desk.

I'm at work at present, but I'm sure in the First Choice Brochure the Savita is still one of their famous 'artists impressions'. So it might not be built yet, or if it is it may not have many reviews.

yes youre probably right chris , its driving me mad knowing what to do, or where to go grrrr, dont want to make a second mistake, athough a few people have told me my original hotel is fine, its the latest reviews of tummy upsets thats put me off

Ah Karen - You sound absolutely fed up. If its going to be between the coral and the conrad I dont think there is much in it. I havnt read through them all but the way im seeing it the coral seems to have more going on in way of entertainment and by the sounds of it run by an english first choice team and if your worried about going stir crazy in the evening this would be a plus. but the conrad by the sounds of things has a better beach. the conrad is part of the hilton chain in case you didnt know and i imagine the entertainment would be provided by the hotel. once you have found out about the ice cream the food looks good at both. I think in the end its going to come down to where your priorities are.

but then again just to add to things you could always stick with morocco  maybe the fact that your having such a hard time choosing somewhere else is because its really meant to be that you go there.

i know just not sure, i like to be near a town, to wonder around, shops, bars, markets etc ,not every night but its nice to get out of the hotel, this is the main thing thats concerning me and thats what i love about turkey, going into a local bar or shop and having a chat with the locals etc, worried incase this is really only a beach resort, dont get me wrong i love the beach in the day, but after a week i get hotel bound and need to get out lol, the pics of this red sea area do look fab

yes lyn im totally fed up infact got a head ache today over it all grrr, goin round to my mates for a cuppa now lol

im looking at all options at the moment, as i can change destination, airports, dates etc, was even looking at bulgaria but think if we stick to may weather might not be too good, first choice doesnt have a great selection in turkey, mainly marmaris as my mother lives there dont want to pay for somewhere i can stay free lol

Back again Karen. the ice cream was at the Conrad and was included in the A/I. The rooms we had did not have a sea view but did have a terrace as we were on the ground floor. there did seem to be some rooms facing the back of the hotel but these seemed to be in the German and Italian sectors.
from what I read, i don't think there is too much difference between the Conrad and the Coral Sea. the coral sea is further away from Naama though.
I see you have a 6 year old. The Conrad does not have a kids club and there does not seem to be a lot for our young ones to do there. I must admit we were too busy in the water to be bothered by this (even the 12 year old goes diving) but it might be important to you.
On another matter, someone suggested the Kirosez three corners. If you check the brochure you will see that it takes 15 mins. by bus to get to the beach.
Sometimes too much information becomes confusing.

altoman thanks for all the info, ive checked out the kirosez and its coming out quite a bit more with not such good reviews. i did read on 1 of the reviews ice creams were extra and in the brochure it only says in the coral they are included hence wanted that clearing up, wish i could make my mind up ,grrr, ill have a chat to ellie and ask her she normally doesnt join in the kids club as is normally too shy but with another year on her she might be more confident, my other 2 kids are much older now and dont want to come on holiday any more, so im now down to 3 from 5, cheaper i suppose lol

Did you check that the room that FC allocated you at the Coral Sea, had balcony, pool or sea view? They also have rooms described as Twin Room, Shower, Toilet, Sleep 2 - 4. The booking system allocates people the cheapest room that will sleep their party, like it did with you for the Conrad.

Altoman

I think some of the rooms at the back (near the sports court with a view of the Baron) are for staff.
I'd be very surprised if they are used by guests.

chris ive just checked and it says balcony or terrace inc with the coral, but it didnt state this with the conrad and its dropped in price £20 lol not a lot but every £1 helps , just wish you could put exactly what you wanted ie dates, dept airport ,free child etc and it would bring up a choice that matches your details rather than having to go through every destination and repeating it all grrr so boring lol
