I would plump for the Santa Maria apartments especially with the fifteen year old. These apartments are near Puerto Colon and not far from the San Eugenio shopping centre. There is some good entertainment in and around this area. Close by is also the Fanabe area which is the up and coming place now.

Las Floritas however is right next door to a club of the same name that shall we say caters for males rather than male and female. There is also just down the road from it a large roundabout where it has been know for ladies of the night to congregate, so I'm informed, so I think it would be best if you chose the Santa Maria.

This is only my opinion and others may have further comments to put to you.

I agree with Allmen the Santa Maria is in a much nicer part of Tenerife, it has a nice pool area and is close to the beach which has plenty of watersports. You will also be within walking distance of the water park.

Be aware that there is some major roadworks very close to the Santa Maria at the moment but I would hope that they will be all finished by the time you visit in 2007
