Only 2 weeks to go now! Can anyone tell me if you have to pay for sun beds and parasols at either the pool or beach at this hotel? maybe mrs mac would know. And also, do you have to be up at the crack of dawn to get one? Lynne
We were there in February 05 and didnt have to pay for any sunbeds or parasols. There are lots of pool attendants walking round and would get you a parasol if you ask them (sometimes they hang around for a tip after putting the umbrella up for you though).
There were plenty of swimming pools and sunbeds to choose from throughout the day however if you find a particular spot you like and want to return ther each day it would be better if you got there early to secure it.
Have a great time and make sure you go to the mexican and the itailian restaurants in the hotel as they are great and very inexpensive.

If you can think of anything else, hints, tips etc , or anything I should know, feel free to keep me posted. Lynne.
You will have a wonderful time, it is a fantastic hotel. We went in May and loved it. It is spotless, the rooms are big, pools lovely and staff brilliant.
Hope you have a great time. If you want to know any more info please ask, (but could be a few days in replying as having computer problems).
We're off to Sharm on 1st dec and staying for 5 nights at the sharm dreams for the first leg of our trip. I emailed the hotel and requested a room by the tropical pool as Katiesmum had been told these were nice. They emailed me back with a map and said they'd upgraded us to a villa which is great. It looks as though it's right at the back of the complex which looks seperated by a small road and the rooms are by the tropical pool bar i'm told. I'm not fussesd if it's a bit of a walk to breakfast as i'm after doing as much exercise as possible.
I'd try to put the map on here for reference but wouldn't have a clue where to start to do that, if anyone wants it emailed pm me and i'll send it gladly
Carly
We didn`t end up near the Trpocial pool even though it was recommended to us as there was no availability. We overlooked the main pool quite close to Reception area.
The whole hotel is great, and if we go back don`t think I`d be worried as to where we were. Have a wonderful time
Has anyone been to the Hilton Sharm Dreams? I am a bit concerned as to get to the beach you have to cross a busy?? road. Have heard not easy. Also what is the hotel like? Feel a bit posh saying we are going to the Hilton but will we have our dreams dashed???
We stayed there last May, it was our first visit to Egypt / Sharm. The hotel is wonderful, it is spotless, the staff are brilliant, rooms excellent, we could not fault it. There was me, hubby and Katie then 8. The pools are fantastic really warm and very, very clean. Never had a problem getting a sunbed (give your ticket in that you get when you check in and you get your pool towels). We stayed B and B and the breakfast had everything you could want, we also ate at the Italian one night and the Mexican - both really lovely food and the prices were not too much more than eating in Naama Bay.
Tea and coffee is provided in the room, sheets and towels changed every day and the standard of cleaning is 100%. We tended to tip the room boy each day, but did the waiters in the main restaurant (breakfast) at the end of the week.
There is a little supermarket on the hotel grounds in the top corner which sells everything.
The main road will give you no bother once you get into the hotel lobby you would never know there is a road there, you cannot hear it at all.
I suppose at certain times of the day it must be busier than others but we crossed outside the hotel onto the central reservation (little bridge) and then did the other half of the road to the Favrouz. You walk thru their grounds to the beach, it will take you only a few mins. (I know both hotels are really rated, but we preferred the Sharm Dreams to the Favrouz). The beach is one of the biggest in the bay and when you get down there give your ticket in again and they will give you more towels.
Beach is very clean, lots of fishes etc in really warm sea.
In the evening you can walk thru the Favrouz grounds to the pathway that runs along the edge of the beach and it will take you into Naama bay in about 5+ mins.
It it wasn`t that there are so many places to see in the world and so little time and money then we would go back again. (most probably will at sometime in the future) this year going to Hyatt in Taba and Sheraton in El Gouna. Please ask away if you want any more info or your can send me a PM.
You will definately enjoy yourself. Lynne.
Also, has anyone been to Hilton Dreams recently who can give me a few pointers and hints to get the best out of my stay?
Thanks
Hi, could anyone settle an arguement between my husband and myself. I was telling him what i was going to buy to take with us soap, shampoo etc but he said that as it is a 5 star hotel that they would provide that sort of thing. I don't think that they do. Could anyone advise as we go in 17 days
I haven't stayed in a 5* Hilton, but the 4* ones all supply things like soap, shampoo and sometimes even conditioner. I don't think you need to pack any.
I am sure they provided shampoo, conditioner and shower gel, soap, shower hat, needle and cottons, tissues in bathroom. Hope that helps, it was 12 months ago that we were there., someone that has been recently I am sure will update this if its changed.
We went in April and all toiletries were supplied including tissues.
Had a brill time and hoping to go back next year. We were by the Tropical Pool and it was a great location.

There is no dress code and Sharm is a casual resort anyway. We came back at the beginning of June and it was too hot then for long trousers unless they are light and cool. We ate only once in the hotel at the Mexican restaurant which was very good but prefer to eat in different places each evening so we'd walk along the beach promenade into Naama Bay which again is very casual.
I would definitely recommend Dreams Beach, friendly staff and close proximity to Naama Bay and would want to stay there again if I return.
Are you allowed to use the facilities at the favorouz ie toilets etc even if you are staying at the hilton dreams?
Also the shops in the hotel complex like the supermarket, do you have to haggle over the price. I would like to know as i don't want to look stupid. How do you know if it is a set price??
Thanks Elaine
We fly off in 3 days
Just so you are aware, chris12's response was probably referring to the hilton sharm dreams, not the dreams beach resort.
Ooops. Yes, I was! Why do they have so many hotels with similar names?
