The main road is busy but the noise is not to bad and there are lots of places to cross .
You do not get disturbed by road noise at the hotel as the general layout is done very well and too be honest this hotel is one of the nicest along naama bay so I would not let the road put you off
crossing points have been built that look like little wooden bridges, however the curbs are very high (12 inches) . If you have mobility problems about 50 yards away from the dreams is a place for trafic to do U truns normaly staffed by a traffic cop that may be easier.
If you are stopping at the dreams bont forget to call into the priates bar accross the road at the Fayrouze. Much nicer than the dreams bar.
However once you see how the taxis drive you will be thankfull for the high kerbs keeping them on track

Thanks Dec for your reply. If there is anything else you can tell me about the hotel that would be great, as I am quite excited, and I hope I have picked a nice hotel. Looking at the reviews I think I have. Lynne
i have booked a holiday to the hilton sharm dreams on 7th feb and was wondering if anyone had been there and could answer any of the following questions i have:-

We booked last weekend to stay here on the 28th May, I would love to hear from you when you get back. We were undecided between Dreams and Fayrouz, but decided on Dreams. We are going half term week at Whit so might be a bit busier than when you go.
Have a great time.
What are its good and bad points and if anyone has just returned from Sharm what's the weather been like???
Thanks loads
Nikki
nikki, hope you have a great time, can`t tell you about the hotel though, as we only go at the end of May. I hope you will be able to tell me lots when you get back.
i know this hotel doesnt have its own beach/jetty its accross the rd i believe shared with the fayrouz ? but does anyone know what the beach is like ? snorkelling ? good fish there ?
many thanks
S
There's a small bit of coral just a few metres out on the Fayrouz part of the beach. Lots of fish there, saw a stingray lurking there too. Quite good.
There a a few smaller ones a little further out too...
The beach is very nice, no problems getting a lounger, there's a snorkel hire/boat trip hut on the beach here too.
Just to say although the Dreams hotel isnt next to the beach it does have its own diving school called Planetara (I think thats how its spelt). I was lucky enough to do a test dive in the hotel pool for free and then booked a 30 min dive from the beach across the road. The coral is very close to the actual beach as after the 30 min diving I went straight to the shops and after a bit of haggling I got a snorkeling set and then went out again to the coral. I had never done diving before and the pool dive and then the sea 1 was definately a nice easy way to get into it.
disgusted it is true , iwas hoping to go next year to this hotel but this will change things for me,
hope fully some of you can elaborate or recent gueststhere may know re building work perhaps
i heard about this when i was surfing the net regarding dolphin shows in sharm. i came across the following website http://weekly.ahram.org.eg/2005/740/tr2.htm
and immediatly contacted the marine connection. my concern was of the "dolphinshow". i did think that as egypt had given a "verbal" agreement that no more dolphins would be imported into sharm then there was no way this place could have a dolphin show. unfortunatly the marine connection told me it is still only a verbal agreement and sometimes money can speak louder than peoples feelings.
it wil be interesting to see just what happens. there have been no more places since the one at the concorde hotel closed. medot.xx
ps you may wish to contact the marine connection yourself. they always answer e-mails pretty quickly. the following link gives all the details

Terrible moves by Hilton. Highly disappointed
Has anybody stayed in a single room at this hotel? I had to book two rooms, one double for myself hubby and 5yr old, and a single for my nephew whos 14. I have asked for adjacent rooms but I dont know if thats possible. My nephew is a bit worried he will be far away from us, and with the recent "you know what "I think that doesnt help. Can anyone help? Also does anybody know an e.mail address for this hotel? LYNNE.
