In Marmaris you should be able to get a fair selection of baby food, although when I used to buy jars there wasn't much of a selection of main courses and my daughter didn't like them. You will find plenty of fruit puree and baby yogurt plus baby biscuits tha can be mixed with milk to make a breakfast cereal. You will find that most restaurants will cater for your baby too, I used to ask for boiled potatoes and vegetable which I could squash with a fork and give to my baby along with little bits of fish and chicken from my plate. I also gave her pasta, rice and scrambled eggs.

If you go to one of the big supermarkets, I think there is a Migros and Tansas in Marmaris, you can get Pampers nappies, they are called Prima and are a little more expensive than at home. Iused to use Turksih brands though which are cheaper than here but just as good, look out for Molfix, Evy Baby or Can Baby. You can also get baby wipes but bring your own nappy sacks as I could never find them.

Make sure you give you baby lots of bottled water, I have heard that Erikli is the best brand for babies, although I used to give my baby Labranda. And take plenty of baby sun cream as that is very expensive out there.

Let me know if there is anything else I can help with, I lived in Turkey when my daughter was a baby until she was 18 months so I may be able to help.

We couldnt get the jars of dinners at the big supermarkets in Marmaris,we was able to get them at the small mini markets at a price, just over 6 lira a jar,as Kedi said no problem with fruit purees etc in the jars.My daughter took some of the Heinz foil packs of sauces and bought the packets of small pasta in the supermarkets to go with them.

does anyone know if im aloud to take bacon and cheese into turkey yhanks

Legally you are not allowed to take bacon or cheese to Turkey but many people do it. The only thought I have is that if you were to be delayed for a long time or your suitcase was to go astray and sit in the sun for a legth of time the bacon could go rancid and maggot ridden :yuck not a nice thought!

My mum always used to bring me cheese over when I lived there though.

As for Boots at the airport I think you can actually phone them and order stuff to pick up when you get there, which may be worthwhile doing, just make sure you order it at the one through security though.

thanks for that kedi .is was just checking about the bacon ive taken it before in a cool bag i wouldnt put it in my case as for the same reasons someone was telling me your not aloud to take . one more thing about the milk can i take the dried milk in my case im having different views on this is it just the cartons i have to order from the airport thanks xxx

You can take dried milk and cartons in your case. The liquid restrictions are only for your hand luggage so if you need cartons on the plane then you need to get them at the airport after security, otherwise they are ok in the case.
