Does the time I went for 6 months and ended up staying 6 years count as a holiday? :rofl

Apart from that I guess the best holiday must have been my trip to Istanbul when I met my husband ;)

Actually all my holidays to Turkey have been fantastic :sun2

All of my Turkish holidays have been great. We avoid the built up tourist resorts and visit the smaller places. My family are keen sailors and the seas around Turkey are so beautiful. My first trip was over 16 years ago to Datca where we found it enchanting, that was probably the best one as it was all new and exciting but really I have enjoyed all the others just as much. Something about the place calls me back over and over and for the past few years have spent about 7 or 8 weeks a year there.

Couldn't really decide.

First visited turkey whilst on a cruise in 2007. We went to Ephesus (sorry about the spelling if its wrong). It was very hot, and the eldest daughter wasn't impressed, even less so when we booked to go to side for a fortnight.

Went to the Arum in Side in August08. Absolutely loved it, booked two days after we came home. No complaints from the daughter this time. Returned again this July, surprised to find that so many of the turkish people remembered us. This was meant to be the eldests last family holiday with us....we hadn't even left when she was begging us to come back (this was the one who never wanted to come to turkey). 30 hours after landing we had booked again....back to the Arum for the 3rd time next July. Then we managed to get a late booking for last week (half term)...had a wonderful time, although not at the Arum (still in Side...first at the Sunberk, then at the Sarihan after it closed).

If I really had to choose the best holiday, it would be the Arum July 09. None of us wanted to come back, we were all in tears on the way back to Antalya (some of us still in tears when we got home).

Been going to Turkey for about 25 years now and have always had a brilliant holiday wherever we've stayed, Kusadasi, Kemer, Bodrum, Colakli, Side and Belek. Our favourite area at the moment is Belek, very quiet area and perfect just for chilling. We've done most of the excursions around Turkey so now our holidays are all about r&r and the hotels we've visited in Belek are perfect for that.

Turunc for peace, mountains and fantastic swimming in calm, clear water; Icemeler in 1995 for atmosphere; Olu Deniz for sheer sublime beauty ( and a great choice of restaurants).

I love Turkey but have done it to death (5 times in past ten years). Even though it's densely forested for some reason there aren't serious forest fires (we felt lucky to escape alive from the Peloponnese in August 2007) and the weather is always perfect: 13 hours of back-to-back sunshine every single day.

Spot on ... it has it's knockers for a variety of reasons, but we will be back to Marmaris this year for our 11th year on a trot. For us it has everything we look for in a holiday.

Hi there, and a very happy new year to everyone. Hope 2010 brings good holidays (in Turkey) for all......................

Best holiday in Turkey, has been every single one,

From the first ever visit to Kemer, to our last holiday in Turgutreis in September 09.

Everywhere we go, we find something that amazes us, we never tire of the glorious beaches, fantastic sunsets and the warmth of the people.

So, roll on May for our next visit.................and I just know, it will be FAB U LOUS................

Take care, and keep warm, Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrr a bit nippy to say the least.

TB.

I've loved them all, but May 2007 when I got married in Hisaronu has to stand out as the best so far :D
