We to have booked to go to Hotel Tropical (may07) on the basis that we were told by both firstchoice web support & sales in local firstchoice shop that we would be able to both hotels. However since reading this forum over last few weeks we have contacted FC & been told that they are now ran as 2 separate hotels & will not be able to use the Holiday Village.
However as we have visited this resort(pegasos) before I can not see how they can stop you entering the Pegasos unless they have erected a wall/fence down the middle.Wrist bands would stop you using bars etc but not wandering around complex or using shops pools or nightly entertainment. However anyone who is going here for 1st time its a excellent spotless resort.
Catherine: Thanks for your help (: Our tickets came today they say holiday village turkey so thats the palace.
Looks like you are going to be one of the first people on HT to go this year. Lets hope you come back with a glowing report.
We are going there in July ... so can't wait to hear how you get on. Hope all good !!
We are going to the Holiday Village on 17th May 2 adults & one girl aged 8 and boy aged 6. Not worried about anything yet, we have been to Lanzarote HV and Majorca HV and both were fab holidays so for us Turkey was just the next HV to visit. I think we will go to every single one if we can as the kids have such a great time and mum and dad get to have 2 weeks rest.
We have booked a jacuzzi suit, flying from Gatwick we also booked a late checkout room as fly back about midnight.
Can't wait to go, anyone else going at the same time?
we get there 28th so a few days before you leave. we also have jacuzzi suits we have 4 rooms the same between the group i'm with.
We are going on the 14th may for 2 weeks 2 boys 6 & 14 & 2 girls 3 & 10
you'll soon spot us lol
So Hopefully catch up soon x
Has anyone stayed in a room with kids den? Not sure whether to book one of these or jacuzzi suite. As our 2 children are our foster children,we are looking for which would be best option for the one providing most privacy. Any advice would be brill. Thanks
Apparently the weekend we are flying is the first flight to Turkey this year from the airport we are using. When we get back, will let everyone know how much of a great time we had, leave a message about using both sites and hopefully enlighten one and all (:
When we were last there we had a family room and there was a sliding door that divided the two sleeping areas and gave plenty of privacy. As I understand it, the kids Den has the same. The jacuzzi suite (which we have booked) has a bedroom seperate from the other areas.
12 days til we fly out
does anyone know if the pools are still warmish at the end of aug/beginning of sept?
thanks, hayley
The pools were still lovely and warm when we were there 28/8-11/9 last year. Only time they were cooler was the day after they had flushed the system through with fresh water as they don't use chlorine, but by the end of the next day they were back up to normal bath-like temperature
Lynda xx
how warm are the pools in May/June also how hot can we hope for at that time too?
amandap... as far as know the pools are cold in may but dont know about june, scottishmum (cathrine can probably help)

one other thing lynda... was it still warm at night? we went in july last year and it was lovely at night.
Hi, we also went in August our first time and the weather was gorgeous both day and night and the pools were lovely and warm. We are going 24th may this year and was wondering what to expect temperature wise day and night, also pool temp. Will I need a jacket for the evenings, and do you think the race for the sunbeds will be the same as in August.....cant stand it !
Thanks for all advice.Have booked the jacuzzi suite.Hoping it will still be sunbathing weather when we are there(Oct 22nd-Oct 29th) Having read reviews-will take loads of mozzie spray. Most of reviews seem really positive. x x x
We fly out on the 28th May and we were in Marmaris the same time last year. The weather was absolutley fantastic, in the 30's every day, the last day a bit windy, no need for jackets on a night (Im a bit soft and did sometimes put something over my shoulders about 11 at night) Everyone we spoke too said it was hotter than usual for the time of year. As for the bed situation we will have to wait and see, by the website there is still availability so the hotel is not full - yet. To me anywhere there is a lot of brits with children you will have a fight for a bed.
we went in oct 2005 and it was nice weather in the day but cooler at night so take a light jacket, unfortunatly the pools are freezing at that time of year which is why we decided to go in the july the following year and will be returning there in aug 2008
But we still had a great time in oct so hope i hav'nt put you off.... anything you need to know just ask,
hayley
