You and me both Bullseye!!! Can't wait getting dead excited and it looks like no flight delays today - here's hoping for next week too
Enjoy your holiday and the Efes. Its really nice beer!
Oh, and watch out for the expensive shops on site. Its far far cheaper in Sarigerme, especially if you run out of sun cream as we did. The shop in the hotel wanted almost £30 for Nivea factor 50 and we paid £8 in town.
@Jackie - I hope you have no delays either. But dont forget that anything can happen as we found out when we checked in on 25th June at Gatwick. First Choice Airways delayed us by 5 hours!!!!!
Has anybody stayed at this Hotel? If so, any info would be great....
As 3 girl aged, 13, 11 and 9 are going in August for one week and are wondering what exactly there is to do? Also, as they are staying all inclusive, what is the food like because 2 of them are fussy eaters.
Thanks in advance.

loads of discussion going on for this hotel also known as Holiday Village Turkey.

Alos very recent reviews looking pretty good in the hotel review sections under Turkey and Holiday Village Pegasus Palace..
I'm going there myself next Monday Can't wait, sounds good, I got two daughters age 5 and 9, looks like plenty to keep them occupied.

Sounds like i won't need to fake tan my lily white legs any more with the weather there
Duncan, thanks for the advice re money for kids club and the heads up for the shops, what a rip off. Be nice to venture down to Sarigerme anyways and sample a bar or two, get some supplies in the shop whilst I'm there I think.
I'll give the Efes a go then!!
Your delay was awful, there was a five hour delay in Cardiff that week two, wonder if there was something going on? But this was Onur Air!You deserved a few Efes when you eventually got to hotel.
Cheers

Re the shops, I got that price wrong about the Nivea Cream, it was almost £30 for Ambre Solaire factor 50. The Nivea Factor 50 sun spray was 60 Lira in the Hotel shop which is approx £24. Sarigerme Village wanted 20 Lira which is £8. Even stuff like Lilo's, rubber rings, snorkels and masks were a fraction of the cost in the village.
Also, the shops on the hotel site do fake designer label T-Shirts at 3 for £10. The market will let you have 6 for £10.
hiya
The place was stunning, very very clean, superb gardens, lovely pools (although the slides did get quite busy).
As for the food, I made a point of speaking to the resteraunt Manager and executive chef to thank them for the food.....a true delight for the 2 weeks we spent there.
It dos'nt have much in the way of biuldings outside the complex although there is a small village 20 mins walk away, there are taxi always outside or reception will book you one, 7 Lira to the village = less than £3 or just past the complex next door is a mini bus service at 1 Lira per person each way.
I do suggest the Sunday market, it is fantastic value, a great ;augh too listening to the locals trying to encourage you to spend spend spend.
If you do decide to go then take Sterling as it has the best buying power and do not be afraid to barter, hold your nerve and you WILL get a very good price.
Over all.......I am going back to PP either next year or 2009 the latest.
Good luck and enjoy!
Cheers.
There is a wooden hut on stilts between the pool bar and the pool where the entertainment staff do all the music etc. You can sit underneath it in the evening. We noticed that the air conditioning unit underneath it was leaking badly and we reported it to a rep as you can get legionaires disease from that sort of faulty equipment. And that is a killer. The rep told us that the engineer was on a day off, but we left the hotel the next day and do not know if it was fixed.
hi everyone, i was wondering if anybody could tell me what currency the arcade machines take, as my 9 year old will be glued to them of a evening and also if it gets chilly in the evening we are going early september should i pack a jumper? any info would be great, 6 weeks today til we go i'm so excitedjavascript:emoticon(':D')
came back tuesday after 2 weeks and the place is great, they are constantly cleaning and picking up. although i have to say the first week was a lot quieter than the second, and there were a lot of problems the 2nd week due to faeces in the pool which we didnt have the first week, not nice at all. there were also more kids running riot around the lower floor area round the games room than the first week too, and some little uns down there on their own as young as 3, so i am not sure what gets into these parents especially after recent events! but i imagine the bar calling them is stronger than their responsibilty to their kids but hey ho!
anyway, the games room has a guy there you have to buy tokens from to play all the machines and they accept sterling including coins and euros and lira, and all the shops accept all coinage too. the bowling is about £5 each and they set up the screens for you, they have playstations in there and you buy tokens for that too and it is £2 for half hour playing pool.
any questions feel free to ask.

It beggars belief really Kelly, we were amongst the "pioneers" in the first couple of months after the place opened. I couldn't believe what some parents let their kids get up to. I think one of the worst things I witnessed though was a group of tanked up dads playing football with their kids on the grass area outside the bar area at the Tropical and trampling all over the flower beds that had just been done that day. It had taken the gardeners all day to plant it all out too. A manager came down to remonstrate with the group and he was unceremoniously told to F off.
We got back from PP a couple of weeks ago, funny, we had the same problem as you Kelly....someone had an 'accident' in the slide pool !!!
Hi I will be going in september for two weeks! Just a quick question, what drinks are availible for children to drink during the day? I dont want them getting dehydrated but wasnt sure if the water would be ok to drink? Thankyou.
There's water, coke, fanta, sprite and different favoured squash. You help yourself to the water and squash but the fizzy drinks are from the bar.
Going out on during the 1st week in September to stay at the Holiday Village.
Does anyone have an photos of what a Jacuzzi Suite looks like..?
and has anyone travelled with First Choice Premium upgrade..?
Thanks for your feedback.
Travelling to PP in 3 weeks - does anyone have any idea if they serve late breakfasts? my oldest usually prefers to eat later in the mornings.
GILLG - As far as I recall, the breakfast restaurant closed at 10am. But the snack bar is open from about 11am so if they miss breakfas, its not long until more food is available.
