I see that Eclipse have changed the price from £90+ to £600+ (Didn't think that price could be right  ) The flights are still not available, i wonder why?
Reply
Yes prices have gone up since I last saw, to £391 today. But without flights this is pretty useless.

We got the price to £179 per adult in May just gone for the Tropical so hoping for a deal like that again.

Looks like you received the same sort of approach from the reps as i did on my holiday vikkib.

the only thing it has confirmed to me is to ensure i never go with first choice again.

here's to a better holiday next year !

Latest update on complaint of holiday in July : have received a reply from legal department enclosing copies of various forms we have got to fill in. They have asked for us to get a report from our GP as to what the health issues were - but as we never saw our GP on return not sure how we are going to fair on this one.

They acknowlege receipt of our medication packaging so we shall just have to fill in the forms and see what happens.

Oh and they have 6 months in which to make a decision!!!!

We went to P Palace the first year it opened and really enjoyed it however we did say we probably wouldnt go back as it was just too big as in the tropical and palace were all together so 1000 rooms, thats alot of children fighting for the clubs etc and when they did make friends the complex was that big they probably never saw them again. On hearing of the split last year we went back and it was absolutely fantastic, Just perfect. I am dissapointed now to hear that they plan to merge the two sites again, in my opinion this will ruin this Holiday Village. I know FC struggle to fill the 1000 rooms hence offering lots of cheap holidays away from the school summer holidays but this just cheapens the actual holiday and all they are doing is getting the 'undesirables' staying there. Those of you who have been at this time know exactly what I mean!

I have removed the last few entries in this thread as it appears one of the posters messages was taken out of context. Sorry for any inconvenience.

Just to let those of you following this thread, that First Choice (legal department) have responded to my complaint from July.

Whilst not accepting any liability for the problems we encountered (ear infection which we believe was caused by people defecating in the pool), they have offered us some money back. We have 21 days in which to make up our minds whether to accept the offer.

Our complaint was never about getting any money back, it was about bringing poor pool hygenie/maintenance to their attention.

19 of us going so far this year 5 familys all ages cant wait june 12!! never been turkey going holiday village turkey pegasos palace or tropical dunno which 1 we will be in

We are going to Holiday village 29th May. Pegasus and tropical palace are joining back together this year and it states in brochure that you may be placed in either hotel. Does that mean there will be double restaurants and bars?

thanks lizzy never saw that in brochure when we booked, about joining together both parts ,any one else no anymore ? and when they was seperate could you share the pools etc in both places

I didn't know either as it wasn't in brochure last year, but have just got new brochure this week through post and thats when I saw it. Surely that must mean you can use any part of complex .

Thought it was strange as just before xmas it wouldnt allow you to book on internet, they must have been updating site.

is the jacuzzi rooms in differnt part of the hotel to the other rooms?

Hi All,

Just to answer your questions.

The Jacuzzi suites, well certainly the one I stayed in, are located in the middle of the resort, in between both the palace and tropical hotels.

The amphitheatre has bench type seating, and yes its quite uncomfortable I'm afraid. I found it hard to sit there more than an hour. On my second visit I gave up and just used the main pool bar.

I visited this hotel twice, at that time both of hotels were part of the one holiday village, as they are going to be again. You could use any of the facilities at both parts of the complex, this appears to be how it is going to be this summer.

Any more questions I'll be happy to help.

Hi scottishmum

Were there double a'lacarte and buffet resaurants when it was one complex or did you just have one buffet restaurant for the whole resort?

Was there plenty of choice of food for the kids?

Jo

Yes there were double of everything in each side.

Plenty of the usual junk to keep the kids happy, pasta, sausages, pizza, chicken drumsticks, nuggets, beans, mashed potatoes etc. Same old stuff every other night tho in the kids buffet, my little fella mainly ate from the main buffets though as the majority of it was suitable for kids too, if they weren't fussy eaters.
