hi sianddi,
i think that the junior suite is the jacuzzi suite cos on the information on hotel junior suite isnt there but it is an upgrade from fam room and more expensive and only jacuzzi, kids dens and interconnecting rooms are more expensive and it isnt the other two is it? maybe they changing the name of the room because its not actually a jacuzzi its a jacuzzi bath! hope that helps :)

I'm getting confused now :que
So do all the rooms in Pegasus side of complex have a sliding door separating the bedroom from the lounge?? ( Apart from kids den which I know has a seperate kids bedroom aswell )

Hope so, that means if we have 2 interconnecting rooms there will be loads of room for 5 of us

1) I think it now all one complex (holiday Village) but i have read that one side is still better than the other - if so can you request where you stay

2) We are a family of 4 (2 kids aged 13 & 9) and we a t least want a separate bedroom for the adults and maybe a sofa bed in a lounge. We have been thinking of a jaquzzi suite but i have also heard about junior suite and kids den. Could someone explain what is in each one and which one would suit our needs. I did go into the local FC but they were a bit vague!!

3) I have also read that the pool slides are only open for a limited number of hours per day - is this right and how often

4) IS the soccer school and stage school any good?

5) As its all one is there now only 1 buffet restuarant ?

6) Are the themed resturants any good

1. I would say that the "palace" side is better than "tropical" side as there is more going on however the water slides are much faster on the tropical side! It depends what you want from your holiday as to which side of the HV is better for your needs. I would imagine that you can request which side you go, in the same way as requesting a pool view etc. Like anything it may be pot-luck.

2. In Family rooms and kids dens you have to walk through the bedroom area to get to the lounge/kids den area. This means that whoever sleeps in the kids den or lounge has to walk through the bedroom to get to the loo in the night. I beleive the jacuzzi/junior suites have the bedroom on one side and lounge on the other with bathroom in the middle, thus giving you more privacy.

3. Pool slides were open from 10-12noon and again from 2-4pm on both side of the complex.

4. My kids went to soccer school and stagecoach. Soccer school was more structured when we went in 2006 with 4 set skills sessions which you booked so the kids didn't repeat any of the sessions, they got the full variety. Last year it was less organised (despite us going end of July) and pot luck whether your kids got a different session to that which they'd already done. The soccer school coaches I felt were at times very dissinterested and teaching the kids seemed a chore. Stagecoach was really good. It only runs during August though. My 9yr old went and had a great time. The teachers were really enthusiatic and very skilled. They are all teachers in the UK and get "cherry picked" to go. The kids loved doing the show. I booked a couple of extra sessions for my daughter as she enjoyed it so much. They are supposed to get given some discount vouchers which you can use for Stagecoach back in the UK but the teachers had not received them when we were there. I think it was 3 vouchers each worth £50 off so worth asking about. I did try and chase this up when we got home but never got anywhere.

5. There are actually 4 buffet restaurants, on each side of the HV there is an indoor one (butlins-style VERY noisy nightmare - only did that once!!) and an outdoor one. We ate in the outdoor one every night. The indoor one opens slightly earlier and has a kids buffet with usual kids fayre (nuggets etc). The outdoor one opened at 7 and was much nicer in my opinion. There was no kids themed food except chips so it depends on what you're after. Our kids will eat most things as long as they can identify what it is (!!) and managed just fine as there was always chicken, fish and pasta etc. Spray well with mozzie spray if eating outdoors though.

6. We tried the indian and italian restaurants and they were ok. It was nice to be waited on for a change but it wasn't anything to write home about.

Hope that helps!!

HI All

Thanks for all your comments - we have finally booked leaving on the 14 Aug for 2 weeks - we booked a junior suite on the internet.

Just need to book the soccer school and stageschool before we go - been advised to do it before we go as it can get very busy.

:)

Soccer school is cheaper if you book it UK side than in resort but you cannot book stagecoach before you get there - you have to book it in resort. We had no problems booking stagecoach as they run sessions every day and some days more than one session. We actually booked a couple of extra sessions at short notice with no problem as well.

jo you were asking about trips whatever you do dont miss the jeep safari go into town and book your trips as its much cheaper.the jeep safari was an absolutely great fun day out, my boys were 11 and 8 last year and still talk about it now.prepare to be wet ive just been on sharm forum and see that you went there last year and are dioing turkey this year we are doing it other way round. pegasus is great we had a fab holiday my 8 year old loved soccer school. we went in june which was lovely plenty of kids but no huge queues.the swimming pools are lovely , water sports on beach great fun. theres also a games room which my boys went to in the evenings as the entertainment is really for the much younger kids.

Hi All - We are booked in for August - are there mini bars and do they stock them ?

I know about the buffet resturant but what are the other restaurants like which you have to book?

Finally - my partner and daughter would like a turkish bath/massage - how much are they on site?

Thanks

Hi

I had the Turkish massage last August when we visited PP, it was great.

I seem to remember you could have a 3/4 hr bath/massage for £20 or 1 1/2 hr for £40. Money well spent it was fabulous but you must have one the first couple of days you are there as it takes off all the dead skin (and the tan as well).

Is it men that do the turkish bath, thats what puts me off don't want any creepy men rubbing their hands all over me :rofl :rofl

Only 10 weeks to go for us!!

I'd strongly recommend going off-site for your turkish bath as it's only about £12 rather than the £40 you spend on site. You will need to take a small amount of money for drinks and a tip though. We booked through sarigerme tours (just a few steps up from the taxi rank in the village) and we were taken there and back in a minibus included in the price. The masseurs were men but they were very nice and we paid a bit extra and had an optional oil massage after the bath. They managed to sort out a long-standing shoulder problem I had!! We've been to them twice and it has been very good both times, and having had a turkish bath in the hotel spa as well I can confidently say it was much better off-site and more authentic.

In answer to the question about mini bars, there is a fridge in your room which you can order and pay for a package of drinks to fill it but it was quite expensive. We went to the nearest shop and filled our fridge with juice etc at a fraction of the price. There is a mini bar price list in the room so you can see for yourself if it's something you want to do.
