Hi Sailbec
First of all yes the view bar is solely for adults, the entertainment is about 11.30pm where Scotty will sing a few songs for about 45 minutes. That is the entertainment at the view bar, the ambience is lovely and tranquil looking over the promenade and the ocean hence adults only bar.
Imo it is not unfair to have an adult only bar, we went to HV and came back last week it was lovely to have a kids free zone bar.
You must appreciate the HV as to cater for all and not solely for families that have young children, we took our 19 year old with us and for obvious reasons would not want to sit at the ampitheatre dancing to agadoo.....
The childrens entertainment team work extremely hard and all relevant childrens entertainment is undertaken at the ampitheatre.
Hope this assists.

Okay thanks for letting me know. Is that the only entertainment in the view bar or is the kareoke and bingo in there aswell. Could anyone let me know if they do any alcoholic cocktails.
I am getting so excited we have a while still but still cant help it we have 9 weeks and 5 days
still not shore if to upgrade to the swim up room
can anyone let me know what the weather is going to be like now what i mean is can someone let me know if they have been in November and if the weather is GOOD........
well still worried about the flight but hay whats the worst that can happen LOL
well hope everyone that is going has a very very good holiday
anyone going to be there on the 30th November ???????? if so see ya at the bar LOL
what part of the complex is the best place to be i have a back problem
and i cant walk to far but would like to be like in the middle of it all
thanx ever so much shandygirl x x
The pools are freezing in November except the quiet pool so I wouldnt think it was worth having a swim up room as you will have to be very brave to use the pool.
There were no sunshades on the patios of the swim up rooms and I needed to be in the shade around midday.
I would wait until you get there then if you think you would like a swim up room you should be able to upgrade then.
We were offered a one but refused as I prefer to sit by the main pool.
The restaurants and other activities are at opposite ends of the hotel so being in the middle would be best.Block 7 is the swim up rooms in the middle and I think block 5 is in the centre of the hotel. We were in block 6 which had a lovely view over the main pool and the sea.
The bingo and is held in the amphitheatre every evening after the kids disco. The kids disco starts at 7.45pm then after that was the head to head show, then bingo.
There's usually some kind of show or act on after that then there's sometimes kareoke. Kareoke is not on every night. It's maybe on twice a week.
Hope this helps.
Do you know if they serve any good alcoholic cocktails or peach schnappes?
Also i have booked interconnecting rooms, do you know what block they will be in?
Thanks againg for info.
We had interconnecting select rooms and we were in block 2 which was right next to the kids splash pool.
Think they have interconnecting standard rooms situated above the swim up rooms.
Thay did a nice fruit cocktail and you just told them what spirit you wanted in it. It was concentrated, almost smoothie like fruit juice with a red coloured juice in the bottom. It was really lovely. I had gin in mine and my sister had vodka in hers. You could also just have it as a fruit cocktail without any alcohol. Just ask for a fruit cocktail at the bar and they know what you mean.
Hope that helps.
One more thing if you dont mind, are the interconnecting rooms above the swimming pool far away from all the facilities of the hotel?
Many thanks.
Is the place big enough for the girls to loose us oldies occasionally and have a bit of freedom ?
Thinking of the connecting rooms , were they any good and what was the location?
Apart from the usual beer and spirits were there any wine or cocktails available ?
Look forward to your replies, any other info you feel appropriate would be appreciated
Thanks
Jim
If you're allocated the ones above the swim up rooms they're not far from the main hotel facilities/restaurant/shops/reception but it's a decent stroll down to the main pool where the slides and activities are. Only five minutes maximum.

If you get the rooms above the swim up it will be quiet at night time. We had the ones by the kids splash pool and it was quite noisy in the evening, sometimes until 12.30am. The amphitheatre is very near to the main pool and all the rooms around it, so not good if you're light sleepers or need peace and quiet for drifting off.
Thanks for that. We are going with my mother in law and she has a standard room that sleeps 4. Do you think she will be near us as we have interconnecting rooms?
I'm not sure about that one. You might be best e-mailing the hotel a couple of weeks before you go to ask them if they can arrange for the rooms to be near.
Thanks
We have been to several holiday villages before and are considering this one for Easter next year (our favourite so far is the one in Cyprus so would need to be a good as that one). Not keen on the whole ampitheatre situation - are there any tables at all in this area or is it just rows of seats. can anyone tell me what the gym is like - are there any free weight - also any ideas on evening temperatures in April? Are there any nice restaurants within walking distance if we fancy a chance from the All Inclusive? Thanks for any help.
Most of the rooms are interconnecting, if there not it just means the door between you and the next room will be locked so it should be possible for 2 interconnecting rooms to be next door to the next one that isn't. Just email the hotel and they will arrange it for you I am sure
Okay ill email the hotel
The HV is a great place to have a holiday we have been back now nearly 2 weeks and so wish we were still there.
With regards to nice restaurants, there is 3 al carte restaurants which are nice. Across from the hotel is a chinese restaurant and a steak house (the steak house will be opening very soon). Hey Mcdonalds and KFC if you fancy
With regards to the ampitheatre, the seating is like huge steps that people sit on with the assistance of the sunlounger cushions. There is tables right at the top on the outside of the ampitheatre if you prefer.
Enjoy I am sure you will
