Try the Aqua Bar at 40th Floor, 1 Peking Road, Tsim Sha Tsui. Spectacular views of the Victoria Harbour!!!! Must go if you visit HK.
I am in the process of writing a list of what we did in Hong Kong earlier in the year, but I am still working on it. :-)
looking forward to it
Flew with Virgin Atlantic from Heathrow,(Sunday night) the check in was very swift.
Arrived Monday evening, the airport and transfer to Hong Kong was excellent.
Stayed at the JW Marriott in pacific place.
The Pacific place like all the other shopping malls are excellent.
The transport system, trams, buses and trains run like clockwork. Plentiful taxi's.
London could learn a lot from this.
Monday Evening
Went to Tsim Tsa Tsui Waterfront to see the light show. Visited Nathan Road while we were there.
Tuesday
Hong Kong Park and the Aviary
Took the Peak tram to the peak, the view of Hong Kong is staggering. Had coffee and then walked around the peak.
Went to Stanley Market for shopping
Tuesday Evening
Went to Wan Chai and visited a few bars!!!!
Wednesday
Took the ferry to Mui Wo on Lantau, then a bus ride to the big buddha at Po Lin Monastery. Unfortunately we were unable to see the Buddha due to the mist, however the temple was very interesting. Then took the bus to Tai O, a fishing village with 'houses' on stilts over the sea.
Wednesday Evening
Went to Temple Street night market, probably the longest market I have ever been to. Full of interesting gadgets and tat.
Thursday
Hollywood Road for antiques and also visited the Man Mo temple. Walked back to Central then took the MTR to Mong Kok to visit the flower market and bird market.
Returned via Fa Yuen Street Market.
Thursday Evening
Went to the cinema which was a pleasant experience with reserved comfortable seats.
Friday
Raining but visited the Hong Kong Museum of Art. Not to be put off by the weather we went on to Western Market and Stanley and finally ended up at Aberdeen Harbour where we hired a sampan for a trip around the harbour. I have never seen so many fishing boats in one place.
Friday Evening
Causeway Bay for dinner at the Red Pepper Restaurant and some shopping at Times Square. Followed by a brief visit to the bars and clubs at Lan Kwai Fong and a late return to the hotel.
Saturday
Last minute shopping including the Lobby of the fabulous Peninsular Hotel before going home :-(
