Hi Suzanne, or anyone else with info'
I don't suppose you know the new email address for the Corfu/Skorpios Marina, do you? We have been there for the last 17 years and are going again in two weeks (13th June). We have been trying to contact Barbara, Marga or Alfredo on reception, to keep our usual room for us, but our emails are bouncing back......Only just found out from your info' that the Chain is now run by "Rosu" rather than "Balear," so I'm assuming that the email address has also changed.
Hope you can help,
Michael
Rang Thomas cook about bookings and they have them on hold, due to refurbs
Thanks, Michael
When we were there last week, Thomas Cook guests were arriving almost daily.
The staff are almost all the same.
Please believe me, you won't notice any difference.
Last night, 10 of us booked for a week in September, through alpharooms for £290 per person. This was the best price. We also got prices from findmeaccom and holiday city superstore. When we left last week, the hotel quoted us 56 euro per person per day. So even with the 10% discount offered in the flyer below, we got a better deal. This will be our 6th visit to the Corfu, and we have always booked flights & hotel online without any problems.
It's a long time since we went on a package with Thomas Cook etc, so I can't really comment on any problems you are having. All I will say is that the Thomas Cook rep was in the hotel every day last week.
If any of you want to pm me an e mail address, I will forward the full e mail from the hotel.
Peter

Thanks for the reply Peter, that's at least put our minds at rest and that the hotel is still alive and kicking. As it's your sixth visit, do you have a Fidelity Card, issued from the old "Balear" group? If so, is it still valid under the new regime of "Rosu?" We have a Platinum Card (17 visits) and will miss the 'perks' if it is no longer valid.
One thing I forgot to post is that the outside of the hotel has just been re-painted, a shocking pink colour!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Only kidding, Brilliant White.
For anyone else who is concerned by the takeover, you can ring the Skorpios direct on:
0034 971659145
Thanks again, Michael
glad its been sorted
I notice Rosu won't let you book direct with the Panorama in Es Cana, Ibiza, exactly the same as Marina who allowed Thomsons to have the monopoly.
The Hotel Panorama is a gold unit under 100 guarantee with Thomson for the 2009 season.
I'm due to stay in Hotel Corfu this Summer, I've never been to Mallorca before, is it good for families with kids?. From what I can see, the hotel is really near the beach, sounds great!. My five year old can't wait!!!. I've worked in the Canaries as a waitress before and am really looking forward to a bit of sea and sun!!!.
I've tried to pm you, but I get a failed message.
Can you send me the e-mail that you mentioned??
Thanks!

As Peter has now contacted you, I have removed the email address to protect your online security
E mail on its way.
I'm hoping to stay there in August... and their website doesn't appear to be working. Did the hotel tell you the rates for August or just for June?. I'll try sending them an e-mail later on, or get hubby to do it!. I organized the last trip to Tenerife, so it's his turn this time!
Thanks again!.
Trisha, the quote I got was for 5th Sept, 56 euros per person per night. I booked with alpharooms.com £290 per person 7 nights.
We have booked to go on the 14th june.Where would be the best place to exchange money.Do both hotels share the same evening entertainment.Cant wait
Hi,
Hi Trisha ... welcome to the forums. It may be worth posting in the separate Rey Don Jaime topic ..
The evening entertainment is outside in a large area between the 2 hotels, and is used by all guests.
Enjoy
Where are the Atm machines
There is a bank about 100 yards from hotel.
