Hi Peter

I'm due to stay in Hotel Corfu this Summer, I've never been to Mallorca before, is it good for families with kids?. From what I can see, the hotel is really near the beach, sounds great!. My five year old can't wait!!!. I've worked in the Canaries as a waitress before and am really looking forward to a bit of sea and sun!!!.

I've tried to pm you, but I get a failed message.

Can you send me the e-mail that you mentioned??

TrishaGough is obviously a very confused and confusing person. She poses as a holidaymaker, claiming in her second post never to have been to Majorca before, obviously forgetting that in her first post, she had already recommended a hotel in Majorca.

We regret to inform members (especially Terry1967) that the above post was made by a member of the Marina Hotels group. The Marina Hotels group previously owned the accommodation mentioned which is now run by the Rosu group. The Balearics IP address which she is posting from clearly confirms an association with Marina Hotels.

Why a member of the Marina Hotels staff would wish to obtain an email sent from the hotel (now owned by Ruso Group) to a guest is unknown to us, but, as we now have proof we feel it only fair to let our members know.

I did wonder when her e mail address was hotmail.ES. I was posting to try and help other people who were going to the ROSU Corfu, and was doing so in good faith. Unfortunately she wasn't.
I will certainly bear this in mind if I decide to re-visit the Marina Pax or any of their other hotels in the future.
Incidentally, when we arrived at the Corfu on 16th of May, it was the first day opening under the new owners. We immediately commented on the much improved atmosphere in the hotel, and friendliness of the staff than was apparent under the previous owners.
I don't want to post any unsavoury greetings to ms gough on here, suffice to say that the next time she has occasion to visit the toilet on Majorca or anywhere else, I fervently hope that a hedgehog is involved.

Thanks Terry. We at HT do our utmost to ensure our members are not being 'hoodwinked'. Our purpose is to assist holidaymakers and if that means 'outing' suspicious posts we will do :cheers

Hi terry, cant believe she did that, its not presenting a very good picture of the Marina group when someone has gained info under false pretenses like that , its not fair when most of us are genuine and just want to find out information about where we are REALLY going on holiday and not making up family stories full of nonsense. Thanks for all the info you have put on though it really helped and i am with you re the hedgehog!

I am sure that you will have a lovely time Colin, let us know how your holiday went when you come back.
By the way there are some great shows there this year!
The boat still comes into the cove to pick up for the glass bottom trip as well. You can buy this from reception.

Had a great time at the Corfu,just booked the Rey Don Jaime all inclusive ,i think Santa ponsa will be more for us

Glad to hear that you had a nice time!
There is a really big write up in the Daily Bulletin that the Shine A light Charity presented the hotel director the "Flame award" on Thursday night for looking after the families that stay there whose children suffer from cancer. The charity is from Northern Ireland and the fundraiser is called Billy, did you see this?

the weather has been really hot as well so I am sure that you had a fab time!

Am keen to book this hotel through alpha rooms for next year,but its not clear which hotel we would be staying at,Corfu or skorpios? its coming up as Corfu/skorpios does that mean they decide nearer the time or when you get there?!

Hi Terry,did you request the corfu and what floor you would prefer to be on? dont fancy being dropped off by the taxi at the wrong are the receptions far from each other?have priced it up with Alpha rooms and travel republic,both same price want to get it booked asap!

Hi Boots .... unless you are flexible and prepared to stay in either the Corfu or the Skorpios, you may want to check with Alpharooms about room allocations before making a firm reservation, and ascertain whether any request is likely to be regarded as any more than just a preference.

Some booking websites are pretty clear in that accommodation may be allocated in either one of the hotels on the day of arrival.

I dont really mind which one we are put in reviews are fine for both of them,it does not state that these are two different hotels? so wondered which one we would get the taxi to drop us off at? I dont suppose it matters too much if they are next to each other.

Hi Boots,
The hotels are round the corner from each other. If you have kids or heavy luggage it is a pain walking there. I always request the Corfu with whoever I book with. (booked to go in September with Alpharooms) However I also send an e mail direct to the hotel a few days before I go requesting Corfu only. I also ask for a high floor on the pool side. Better view.

Try a transfer with shuttledirect. We were first off the bus on arrival and last pick up on departure. 19 euro each.
