Hey all

Off to Rhodes in a month and we're staying in the Elvita Hotel in Lardos.

Now, I have heard bad things about the hotel but that said I have also heard great things, it seems to me that if you don't want cockroaches and a horrible apartment that you need to make sure that you stay in one of the newer apartments away from reception on a higher floor.

Now, we always like to stay off the ground floor anyway, we just don't like the idea of having an easy to break into balcony door where someone can just hop the wall to get access to, so we always request a higher floor.

When I booked, they asked for a sea/pool view on a higher floor for us automatically, but I took the liberty of calling the hotel myself, speaking to the owner Dimitris and requesting a newer apartment, away from reception, on the top floor.

He told me to e-mail him with details of who we booked thorugh etc. I did that and never heard back again...

What do you think I should do???
