that last review prompted my comments about food.
we went between 8-22 may and found the range of food immense for meat-eaters and veges alike.

just another point, there were so many scots and n/e people when we were there, i am surprised there were any left back home. not that it was a problem, i just noticed it.

Is the football pitch in the Oasis closed indefnitely?

Have just had to change my Greek holiday to Flamingo Oasis and the kids were looking forward to a game of footie

Hi delly.

It was close through out all our stay when we was there. Karen mrnkar who posts on here was there at the same time as me and I think her teen son was dissapointed aswell with my brother.

By the look of things when I was leaving they were doing some sort of work round it so it should be open definatly by now.

hi, when you say football pitch, is that the one on the sports deck where they also do the tennis?
there was "teen football" available on the teens activities for the 2 weeks i was there, but being a teen, i did not see whether they did it on a pitch or just in an open space.

well by the looks of it looks more of a multi sport area :?

The Flamingo Oasis are no longer allowing non residents in to buy drinks.
Cazz and family didn't even get through the door the other day, they were asked for their passes by security. We went up last night, got to the bar and asked if we could buy a drink but were refused.
My friend is staying there next week and we were hoping to visit her but it looks as though she will have to come and see us instead.
At the Pelicanos, contrary to what I've read, they don't seem to check whether or not you are staying there whilst you're round the pool.

When we were in this hotel at Easter I went to the supermarket opposite and when I returned the security man stopped me and asked for my card. If you leave someone in your room you do not need to take the card with you but luckily I did have my card with me.

Yes they were very strict with securitey and having your cards when we went we kept ours around our neck on a chain to avoid being asked.

also when we kept our bedroom door open for some air when it was hot at night they were streight up to our room checking. They must have some sort of sensors that tell them.

i must say we had no trouble with the security at all.
we were never asked for our cards coming in to the hotel. and we had them in our pockets the whole time as well. we never got round to getting the straps from the hotel shop.

incidentally, Jean, when you went to Plus, was it the young girl with the dyed blonde hair that served you??
we must have gone in there every day (for 39c choccy) and she served us at the till every single day no matter what time we went in.

Can't wait - off there for two weeks on July 3rd with 2 kids & 2 oldies!!

Last went 3 years ago - it was great then - we were on the 3rd floor

Does anyone know if I can email the hotel to request a floor? Our travel agent requested adjoining rooms as we have my nan & mum in law with my son sharing with them (2 free kids places then!!)

If anyone has the email addy I would be grateful - thanks

Just read a review saying that 16 rooms have been broken into  Hope this is a one off as Im going in 4 weeks. Anyone eles heard anything like this at the Oasis?

Hi Dee, I would be very sceptical about that review. I have looked at it myself and suspect that the comment about the safe problems is because the person who posted it was disgruntled about the hotel but god knows why when all the other reviews are so so positive.

Having stayed at this hotel on 3 occasions I find it difficult to believe that this could happen because all the safes are the modern type where you have a unique number that you set yourself.

My friend returned from this hotel on 12th June after a 14 night stay and I'm sure that if anything like this had happened whilst she was staying there then she would have been the first to here about it cos she's dead nosey

I wouldn't worry about it too much. Prior to our holiday at the Pelicanos there were a couple of reviews similar to that although not on the same scale as the one that you have just mentioned but we didn't experience or hear of anything like that happening during our visit even though I left the safe open one day for about 8 hours. :yikes

I had no problem with security when I stayed here earlier this year, if anything I was very impressed.

My daughter visits on Saturday for two weeks, so will let you know.

Hi, I too have read the review and cannot believe what was written. I have to agree with Sue and Kath. The Hotel was nothing like what the reviewer describes when we stayed at Easter. Check the reports left just below and above, these sound more like the Hotel we stayed in. Maybe it was Flamingo Benidorm or Playa they actually stayed in. Karen
