Hi I was here a few weeks ago:

1. does the FO have hairdryers in the bedrooms and if so, are they any good??

Bathroom has a hairdryer - just your standard hotel one (sufficient) but you have to keep your finger on the button

2. is there a fridge in each room??

No fridge in rooms

3. what tv channels are there on the in-room tv?? not planning on spending much time in the room but curious none-the-less

BBC, Sky News from what I remember

4. i have read posts about people emailing the hotel to ask for a specific room/floor. which do people think is best?? what about the overcrowding and waiting for lifts i have read about??

The floor is purely a personal thing - if you dont mind heights then the views from the 22nd/23rd floor are good. There is a lot of advice on here with recommendations for floors and rooms. The lift situation did not bother us apart from one day (Tuesday) which was a change over day.

Flamingo Oasis Hotel

We have just returned from the Flamingo Oasis Hotel. You can get a Sky Sports channel also

Hope you do not get the dreaded upset stomach whilst you are there which all my family had.

I am sure you will enjoy your holiday as this hotel is very good and all the staff are so friendly, especially the entertainment team.

hi all,

just a few more questions for any recent FO visitors.

is the all inclusive card waterproof? what do you do if you want to go for a swim and don't want to leave your card by the pool??

do you happen to know how far Benidorm FC is from the Flamingo Oasis?

What sort of daytime entertainment is there for the adults?? i.e. do they have Quizzes/bingo?? what about sports competitions??

also the same for the evening entertainment?? what is there?? is it all in the same place or do they have a couple of choices on at the same time??
What does the typical week consist of in terms of nightly entertainment??

Can you get bottled water on the AI??

We just got back on Sunday, so I will answers some of your questions:
The card is waterproof. It is just like a credit or driving Licence card.
Lots of competitions for adults during the day from Pool, boules, archery and even free bingo when we where there.
2 Main places for nightime enterainment: Piana bar, for adults only, which has a few singers on and you can dance and main one downstairs which has a mini disco, and then shows including Grease, Starlight Express etc May be outside when you go depending on weather. Yes bottled water is included in A/I and everyone takes loads up to their rooms at night. There is no problems with getting drinks anytime. Sorry don't know much about the football gound but I think it is near Train station which is a bus or taxi ride away.I have left a review of the Hotel which you can read. Karen

The football ground is near the station and is too far to walk really from the Flamingo Oasis. Well, it is in summer anyway!

You can either watch it in the lounge or if it's not on there you TV's in the rooms have access to it, I know coz we went last year. Think we may be popping in again this year

Yes it's broadcast at the same time as the UK but you'll be an hour ahead over there. So if it's a 6.45 start it'll be 7.45 spain time.

what about sports channels??
i am away for the last week of the premier league season and the cup final.
do they have sky sports either in the rooms or on screens in the hotel anywhere?
(are there screens in the hotel?)

and do they have the english football or is it all spanish?

i know we have spanish over here so hopefully they have english over there.

They have bbc tv via satellite, you also get it in the rooms which you don't have to pay extra for. Youll not miss a match as they have it on in the lobby( two screens)and the cinema/entertainment room by the pool. If there is a match on the same time as Doctor Who, you will have to go to your room as the blokes usually have the run of the place when the footie's on. Well they did last year during the world cup.
