2 year ago i found the price online was cheaper for four adults rather than 2 adults and 2 children so i rang thomas cook and they said i could book it for 4 adults i , so what im saying is dont always trust free child places as supplements all add up. and it can be cheaper to book as adults places.

i have just been quoted from thomas cook, £2998 for 2 sept, flying from east mids, for 2 weeks....there was one room left......2 adults, 2 teenagers....

is that a good price?

and the child age is now 16....in the apartments, 14 in the hotel...

In the apartments there are no free kids and I could well believe 4 adults would be cheaper than 2 adults and 2 kids, but in the hotel rooms which sleeps 3 a free child is cheaper than 3 adults. I got my 14 year old daughter free, I think it worked out at £1650 for 2 adults and for 3 adults it would of been around £2300 to £2400.

K&R I hope you snatched their hand off for that price, but is it a night flight. I could of saved £500 if I took a night flight but couldn't face one.

Im on a night flight, no worries, my main hols in May are aloso night flightrs but have pre-booked late checkout.... so took the saving!!!

I'm more worried about teh weather.... see the daily reports from Turkey fro Antalya... have checked BBC and its 2 tonight.... brr... hope it warms up in the next 4 weeks, can't face a load of jumpers again like December!!!! im hoping for some sun!!!

ive just done a quick check online and got a price of £2974 for 2 adults and 2 children (teenagers)
and £2640 for 4 adults. so i would check online and then ring them with the prices .from east mids on the 2nd september.

It is for the apartments and they are coming up from gatwick £2520. There is 5 of us travelling so we needed 2 rooms in the hotel. I would rather pay the extra for a day flight instead fly at night. I could of got the holiday with portland for £2800 day flights if had made my mind up a week earlier.

Here some prices with COSMOS 7th september 14 nights free child in hotel room 2 adults and 1 child including in flight meals. Very good prices. Cosmos have free child place through the whole of september.

but i have reservations about going AI, we usually go self catering to icmeler or bodrum....

i also read about you may get a noisy room , with the generators, or loud bar etc.....how much of that is a problem?

we would be going july/aug, so if we got a duff room, it would be full and not possible to change.......

Hi everyone.. Really in need of some advice.. Booked the hemera for this august with my 2 children, my sister and her family, but it looks like my sister will be cancelling.. I'm gutted and worried about going with my 2 children to turkey on my own.. I am a single woman and went to Ibiza last year which was lovely but very lonely at times when the kids had made friends. They are at a good age though 12 and 9!!... I know i should go but was so looking forward to having my family with me.. I know people will say i'll make friends but i might not and it isn't the same.. What should i do?? Thankyou everyone.. Sarah x

Hi... I'm a little worried because i was going with my 2 children and my sisters family to thr hemera in August this year but it looks like she's cancelling.. So its just me (34 year old mum) and my 2 kids who will be aged 12 and 9.. I have been to Ibiza last year on my own with the kids and had a nice time (only a week though) but it was lonely at night sometimes.. Was really looking forward to having my family with me so i'm unsure whether to cancel or not? Worried about being in Turkey on my own with the kids too. Help and advice would be great... Thanks..

Isnt it funny, I'm married and would love to go on holiday with the kids on my own. I think you should go, this year you could make some really good friends and have a fantastic time. I couldnt disappoint the kids though, how about asking a friend to join you?

Hi.. Thankyou.. I wouldn't ask a friend because the room is for the 3 of us so no room and even if someone could come i'd prefer it just me and the kids.. My sister and family were in a room seperate (thankgod, because god knows how much more i'd of had to pay) Its completely different when your married and want a break away without the hubby.. When your a single woman, you notice families and couples around you..and night time can be lonely when kids venture off with friends.. I may make friends but i may not.. Who knows....

I think you should go if only for the sake of the children. You don't want to deprive them of their holiday, just because of your evenings. After all, you could always have early nights and then early mornings and make the most of the daytime! I don't know this hotel, but most big Turkish hotels do a show in the evening from 9.30 - 10.30 in an amphitheatre and if you are watching that, it doesn't really make any difference whether you are actually with the person in the next seat......
To my mind, any holiday is better than no holiday. Think of the alternative. Stay at home doing all your own cooking, shopping and washing-up, while desperately trying to think of things to do to keep the kids amused for 6 long weeks.
