we went in2006, there are 2 levels of minibar, can't remember exact costs but not unreasonable, we got to keep the key for the whole time we were there so then could just use it like a fridge.
there is a mini-mart less than 5 mins walk away.

anyone know if the rooms at the Levante Club Hotel have a socket to plug a laptop modem into? i.e a spare phone socket.

Cheers!

the arrow in the picture is pointing to a socket on the wall.
Can anyone who stayed in this hotel tell me what this socket is for?
Is it an electrical plug socket or is spare phone sockets for modem/fax etc?

did that twice and they failed to reply. Phoned them up and they didnt really understand what i was asking. They just kept saying they have wifi. They dont understand that to connect to a vpn i need to use dialup! duh! Im guessing that at the worst their phone unplugs from the wall and i can use that socket.

Hubby said tonight it was for a laptop but not 100% sure, we used the internet access at the hotel in the lobby, seeing as they have conferences there i would presume that they have access

I can't remember seeing extra phone type sockets, but to be honest I wasn't looking.

Plug socket! There is a phone though at the bedside tables! The rooms and bathrooms are extremely nice, well worth the money is the hotel!

You can smoke on the balconies, they do provide an astray on them we was there in Nov, could'nt fault it, the bars over the road are good if you do not want to go into the town, also the tables outside all have ashtrays on them as well, also would advise hiring the fridge it was great, we like to have a drink on the balcony when we got back in at night so was great

why anyone would choose the melia over this hotel is beyond me. By the way the sockets above the table are for Ethernet (wired internet access) and its free.

hi everyone
can anyone tell me how much it is to rent the mini fridge in the rooms and if i do rent it am i paying for all the contents or do i get charged at the end of the holiday for what has been used.
Bring on the 5th july cant wait for some sun cos it dont look like we gonna get a decent summer here. ;)

Can't remember the costs, sorry, there are 2 levels, you choose which one you want and pay up front, they then give you a key for the fridge which you keep for your whole stay. you don't get money back for anything you don't use. the prices were reasonable and it's worth it just to get to use the fridge.

We are going to Levante Club on 30th September - just booked it this afternoon.
Never been to Benidorm before and I'm a bit worried that it may be too far from the 'centre' of things, although there seems to be stuff happening nearby. Can anyone tell me how far it would be to walk to the centre to see the shows please? Also the beach, how far away is that?

Just booked for a week at Hotel Levante Club, going end of September. We've never been to Benidorm before and I'd like to know what the dress code is there. Is it dead casual, shorts and t-shirt kind of thing during the day? Would it be more fitting to wear trousers at night rather than a skirt...? :que

It would be more fitting to wear trousers if you are male. :rofl

No seriously, in my experience, there really is no dress code in Benidorm, anything goes.

Depends how fast you walk, how many times you stop etc :D

Beach about 15/20 min stroll down hill (not too steep)

main nightlife about the same maybe a bit more.

bit longer coming back because of the slope.

Hi mexican-wave

It doesnt take long at all to walk into the centre about 10-15 mins if as previously stated you dont get way-laid by bars on the way and we were in heels Hee Hee

or

if you feel like being really lazy you could get a taxi for approx 4 euros

We tended to grab a cab to take us back at the end of our evening as the walk felt a lot longer for some strange reason??????? :rofl

Hope this helps

Me and my sisters are at the Levante on 11th Oct for a week cant wait!!! last time we were there there was a little karaoke bar over the road next to Rachels think it was called the Jug and Bottle or something like that does anyone know if its still there???????????

Thanks

Kitten
