hiya, i am wondering if anyone has any sugestions as to when i should email my hotel to request sunbeds by the pool

Is this for real ?

If I'm not mistaken the Sunrise pre-allocate your sunbeds.

Sunrise Beach won't allocate your sunbeds until you arrive. When you check in you're given a card and you give this to the pool guy when you go down. You're allocated the beds then for your entire stay.

If you do want beds around the pool and they aren't available, you can ask to be moved when some become free. Although, when I first stayed there, we were sure we wanted beds by the pool, but were actually much happier on the grass area just off the pool. Much more peaceful and still very close!

We always asked for a high floor room as well, as I think the view is just that bit better.

I would mention it's your boyfriend's birthday, don't know if they would do anything, but it's worth a try!

thanks kezzabelle, yeah i know they are pre-alocated, its just that i have read a review and the person said they asked for a bed by the pool when they got there and there were non availible, although when he mentioned that he had emailed to request one by the pool the man took out a big list of emails and then said he could choose from 6 beds around the pool! x

So if you are there for a week do you keep the same sunbeds in the same location ?

Ive never heard of pre-allocating your sunbeds!

I would have thought first up, first get... at least then you are not waiting half the day for guests to arrive at the pool side as i know half did when i was at my hotel, they would come down at 7.30 put their towels down and go back to their room, i was up at most mornings for 7am not to get a bed but to take full advantage of the hot weather, listening to thunder and lighting last night was gutting!!!!!

This was one of the reasons we choose Sunrise Beach for our hol in September! Hate the early morning sunbed dash, who can be bothered with that...your on holidays!!

I think Capo bay do the same???

Im also interested in any particular rooms to request. We have booked a SSV room already but any rooms to avoid as well

It's a great system and have more than enough beds and area for everyone and it's nice to know you have it sorted each day if you want it.
Yes, the Capo Bay do the same.

Re rooms, we always asked for a high floor room towards the beach end, better view and you're a bit further away from the road then. Not that there's much noise to hear anyway. If you want non-smoking rooms too, I think the 5th floor is all non-smoking.

so how long before i go would you recomend i email them to request a room? i was thinking maybe 2 or 3 weeks before but thought they may have already sorted whos going to what rooms etc. but then thought if i email now 6 and half weeks till we go, they might forget or something lol.

Three weeks before you go, i have been told from a very reliable source, your rooms are allocated a two weeks before you travel.

Pre-allocated sunbeds is a great idea. I'm staying at the Sunrise Beach hotel. I'm a single traveller but presume that won't make a difference. I would prefer the quieter grass area but I will see what I get given. Whatever it certainly won't spoil my holiday.
