Hello all,

I've booked holidays in Sol guadalupe for 1 week in September. I've already asked the hotel if they accept to change the travellers checks and they said that's ok.
Now I have a few questions concerning the hotel himself.
Can someone tell me the average prices for the water, wine or in general drinks during the dinner and at the pool bar?
Do you need to pay directly the snacks-drinks or just to say your room number and sign a paper and you will pay everything when you leave the hotel?
I've read on the solmelia site that the check-out is until 12.00. My fly is in the end of the afternoon. Can I stay 2-3 hours more after 12.00 in the hotel? I think I have to specify this when I'll arrive.
I will take a taxi from the airport to the hotel, but when I will go to the airport, how can I get a taxi? Could I ask the hotel to book one for me? Or there is a taxi station not far away from the hotel?

I know a lot of questions :-)

Thanks for the answers!

Its €30 to keep your room on! unles you have a MAS card then its free up till 16:00(but the booking is supposed to be via sol-melia direct)
if you buy 1 it was 3.50€

well if your sily enough to drink becks, san mig is cheaper!

in fact, I've booked directly with the solmelia site. And I've also made a MAS card. So I suppose I will pay nothing. But it depends also if someone come the same day in my room (if the hotel is full). If it's the case, I couldn't keep my room.

Just got home an hour ago from the guadalupe. What a fantastic hotel it is,how it is only rated 3* is beyond me.The reception and lounge has to be seen to be appreciated, the rooms are spotless and cleaned each day,the pools superb, and the resteraunt serves the best food you could imagine. There are so many choices each day,at least 6 choices of meat/fish all served hot,and also the italian corner where you choose what you want and it is cooked in front of you.The only negatives i came across were being woken up between 2-6.30 am for the first 6 nights of our 2 week stay by inconsiderate party goers arriving back at the hotel.I didnt realise the hotel security were fast to act if you dialled 9 on your room phone, and i seen a group removed from the hotel for causing havoc 2 nights running. As for the no reserving of poolside beds, the signs state this, but i used to have a laugh watching from my balcony at 8am,the crowds running to get "THEIR" beds,2 women reserving 6 each, they really did think they were their beds.Anyone getting ready to go there, you will be amazed at the all round quality you get for the price you pay.

Anyone know what rooms types are available?

As on a couple of sites I looked at, only showed twin rooms.

Would appreciate it if anyone can help out on this please :)

is it suitable for a bunch of rowdy 17 year olds?

Bunch of rowdy 17 year olds hmmm :) .i seen several groups of youngsters having a great time without being disruptive.you will have a great time there.just remember everyone is there to enjoy themselves, and be aware that the security do remove people/groups from hotel if they cause disturbance in the early hours when returning after a night out.The walls are paper thin and the slightest noise travels afar.It is a fantastic hotel with top class facilities

Hi,

We would really appreciate any comments that may help us on quickly deciding whether to book the Sol Guadelupe.

We have two children one who is 5 and the other is 18 months old. We know this hotel is nice but want to know whether this would be ok to visit with two children in two weeks time. Do you think this resort is ok with children?

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

I go every year to Guadalupe, the rooms do have twin beds , but you can request a third, we have had a room with 4 beds in but you have to pay quite a bit extra for this, book through Sol Melia group, cheap as chips !!!!!!
enjoy x
