We went in April this year for long weekend and couldn't fault it at all. Food was on par with most hotels.

O dear am off to this hotel in 4 weeks, when we went 3 years ago there was quiet a few stag/hen parties, also problems with tables cleaned but it is takes no time to do it yourself i know you should not have to but if you want to eat. We were goiing to book a different hotel but because i waited too long the price had gone up and this was a the cheapest i could find probably because of problems people are getting.

I'm surprise at that Mazza.....Pelicanos/Ocas is usually at least 50% spanish tourists and that wont put up with that s**t.....I can only imagine its because the hotel was partly empty and took overflow from somewhere else.....or maybe they have changed their minds and are now allowing stag/hen parties......We have never come across either staying in the hotel in the past....it's a shame if they have fallen to this level

There were quite a few Stag and Hen parties coming out of here when we were walking past a couple of weeks ago...was same at Melia and Flamingo Oasis too.

We also had lots of stags, hens.etc at the Villa de Benidorm in March,we also will not be going back again, terrible language etc.I would stay clear of any hotels near the bars and clubs from now on.Daughter stayed at the Dalmatis in April, she loved it and said the food was very good.

Hi Sue,

I´m in the Pelicanos on the front 1034, the building work over the road has ground to a halt, its just one big green swimming pool, another thing I´ve noticed about this hotel is the amount of large roundy groups of males use this hotel on stag doo´s :cry

I came back from Benidorm on Tuesday, staying in the Pelicanos.I can't say i noticed alot of rowdyness.Yes there were a few groups of stags but they kept themselves to themselves, not causing any trouble.
I was on the 2nd floor as my dad is in a wheelchair,we didn't come back until late most nights ourselves but slept sound with no disruption from people inside or outside the hotel.
We ate breakfast each day and dinner 5 nights, food i thought was quite good, minimal queueing(except for the toasters)and if there was not a clean table, as soon as you sat down the waitress cleared it for you and set the new places.
WHEELCHAIR ACCESS
Not great but it never claimed to be.Bathroom door too narrow to get the wheelchair in but i had anticipated that and hired a commode, also set up a washroom(washup bowl) on the dressing table. The outside door was ample wide enough to get the electric wheelchair through.

We managed by going up and down in various lifts to get where we wanted to be.3 lifts go to the ground floor(1 of which goes to the bar salon where you can gain access to the pool area by going through the hotel maintenance area)2 different lifts go to the restaurant.

Restaurant is on a mezzanine floor, with no lift to the ground floor,so we went from floor 2 to the restaurant in one lift then after our meal went upto the 14th floor to catch a lift to the ground floor(better availability)if we were going to the pool hopefully we got the bar salon lift,if not we then got in at reception.Bit of a chew on but we managed.

There is a small stairlift from reception to the restaurant but we had an electric wheelchair which exceeded the weight limit.

All in all we had a great time and would stay at the Pelicanos again.

jeaniepoohs, you won't have noticed them as they were only approaching lads on there own or in groups, they were always dressed in jeans and didn't look like you would expect prostitutes to look like, they took them down the side of I think its called massalas kebabs or something like that, its next to the Cabaret bar on the opposite corner to villa de benidorm and also down the car park at the side of the ocas.

Apart from the food, of which breakfast was ok and the stag and hen crowd this hotel was nice, also jeaniepoohs, the rowdyness never started until the week you went home, for the last fews days I was there, I returned home yesterday no stag doo's were there and it was quiet again, well as quiet as it can be when you're at the front of the hotel.

I liked how you could hire a fridge for 30€ a week and also the safe hire was very reasonable.

It's the flamingo oasis for us next may.
