Can anybody recommend hotels in Alexandria for either 1 or 2 nights b&b
thanks
Hi there, I lived and worked in Alex for a few years on and off, so I got to know the town pretty well. If you are just passing through on a quick sightseeing trip then I would reccomend Hotel Delta on Champollion St. (big french influence in the town). Its only 5 mins. in a taxi from rail station and 10 min walk to seafront. If all you want is a clean, reasonably priced hotel then delta is ideal. The trams stop right outside and will take a few mins to the town centre. At the tram terminus you will find the cecil hotel nearby, with its fantastic roof restaurant,(chinese I think) with great views over the bay. This is a bit more pricey but worth it. At the other end of town you have ramada and shereton which is next to the fantastic palace gardens at montazah. Any questions just let me know.
Thanks for taking the time to reply, do the hotels have swimming pools as my 12yr old son will be with us. Had £70 thomas cook vouchers to use towards the booking but now they are saying I cant use them as im not booking a package holiday with them. Needless to say im not impressed with them
