I was looking up reviews for a hotel through google and came across HT back in 2004, have been hooked ever since

A friend on the unfairpak web site posted a link to your site on it. So I had a look and I am now hooked-I look in every day to see if there is anything new going on in my holiday destination.
It has been a god send because I learn something new all the time about holidays abroad in general. As I have never been abroad before this site helps heaps. Keep up the good work guys

I think I found the link when looking for information through "Ask Jeeves" after having had a disastrous holiday in Tenerife, I wasn't very computer literate then and I stumbled upon HT through sheer luck.
I was trying to collect information to assist a case I was taking to the courts.
I remember posting in General Chat in a very aggitated manner because I had a full blown phobia at the time and the people were so friendly and sympathetic, except one who tore me to pieces and made me cry.
I've been here ever since and I love this site, I've made many friends (and a few enemies), but compared to other sites out there, this is the best and is the most important one listed on my computer.
I bet some of you wish I'd never found it though.

I think I was trying to find out about a particular place through a search engine, I think it was through the old microsoft. The "holidaytruths" came up and I after visiting the site I was hooked! I became a member.
We used to have number of posts and the stars then.

I bet there are more people on here who are glad that you found HT, than regret that you did.
Always a good read, factual, to the point and one who doesn't suffer fools gladly. A mine of information on Benidorm.

I found out about this when i was on google. think i was looking for info on costa brava and this site was mentioned.
I found HT on google as well. Interesting you mention the Blue Bay Escape Lyn- we booked for it's first season as well but chickened out and changed because the reviews were so awful. Did you actually go?

Yes we did Pam . We had a good time but we felt it lacked personality as it was so new . The staff all seemed to be treading on eggshells as well because of the complaints . food wasnt the best weve had but fine and overall we got it for a good price so no complaints .

I honestly can't remember. It might have been an article on TV or in the press. Now I wouldn't book a holiday without checking out this site first. Awwww

I found HT quite a long time before I joined but I cant remember how, it must have been a search engine.
I know I used to look at Holidays Unco*****d and I sent them an e.mail with a query which I realised later was about a topic I had seen on this site!!
I look in every day and sometimes when I am on holiday as well. It is compulsive and an absolute mine of information and opinions.

Through google. I was looking for information on the Benalmadena Palace - it was a new build that year. Been here ever since and would be devastated without it. I remember well that awful feeling when HT disappeared for a week or so last year

Don't we all Lallygirl. It was a bit of a nightmare at the time! 
I can't remember how I found you, but I'm certainly glad I did!! This site is fantastic. I think that the reviews from people who have actually been to these places are far more reliable than some tour operator whose only interest is selling you any old holiday. Keep up the good work!
A friend mentioned that she thought there was a website that told you the real truth about hotels and so I went into Google and put Hotel truths and this site popped up..and the rest is history. I am so glad I joined and I am a regular poster on here. I have made a few friends, learned a lot and intend to keep using the site to pass on any helpful info i might acquire on my travels...and Sanjiiii.. you are so helpful to others on various forums (me included via PM's)..how can anyone possibly consider you an enemy
