I use http://www.kayak.com to search for flight schedules and then narrow it down to the airlines I want and then book from the airlines direct.

We used Maxjet for their flight from Stansted to LV and we absolutely loved it. If they have another special offer (our tickets were 599 GBP each incl taxes) we will definitely book - I am hoping that they will have sale for next April
thanks zabka, stansted is nearer for us than heathrow(i think!!!)so i'll take a look
