To be honest i read reviews that put me off a little but im so glad i went through with the holiday, in fact my sister and her husband who were with us in January have now gone back for another week and were all planning on going back early next year.

One of the highlights for us was trying the Tunisian night in the restaurant, the Bric (Pastry with a savoury filling) witha bit of Saffron chicken was lovely. ;)

You will not be disappointed in the place, even when the weather wasnt at its best the animation team was on top form and made it fun for everyone.

ive read it can be difficult to get a sunbed unless you get up at stupid o clock, does this apply to all beds or just ones with a parasol ? also do you have to pay for beds on the beach outside the hotel or are these part of the all inclusive package?wondering whether to just buy lilos and foget about sunbeds can you buy thes from the hotel ?

Hi mancnicci, I'm going for my first trip to Tunisia in June to Houda Hotel (Skanes) and from what I can gather from looking through various threads on here it seems that if you "tip" the porters (or whoever) then they will make sure that you have sunbeds, so no need to get up at stupid "o" clock to get one.

Thats the vibe I get anyway from reading previous posts on the board and I could be very wrong! (someone please correct me if I'm wrong)

It seems to me that if you tip the workers you have pretty much got them eating out of your hand, and they will help you all they can. Like I said above, I stand to be corrected though as I'm a novice when it comes to Tunisia and just going off what I have read on this (very imformative) board. :cheers

Trust me your daughter will soon make friends. The hotel has three clock all with seas views as they run parallel to the beach. When we were there they tended to segregate the nationalities i.e. English in one block, Germans in another etc. funny thing was we all got together at night for the cabaret and had a great time. The hotel is very popular with families and fairly secure so your daughter will have now promel

hate to be a pest but ive more questions, is there a haman bath on site or near by and also would it be safe to leave a camera in a bag and ask a beach boy to watch it for a few more dinnar
thanks

on no another question
what are the best buys and what would i be expected to pay say for a silver ring and necklace any really good buys there
Reply
not sure about the silver .... only pay about a quarter of what they ask for no matter what you buy ... as for leaving your camera on the beach there is nobody on the beach to pay to look after it and i would not leave it unattended .

Hi mancnicci, been to this hotel a few times now but not in august, however there have always been plenty of sunbeds available, as for tipping, the guys do appreciate tips but its not compulsory. funnily enough all the people reserving sunbeds whilst i have been there have been other brits and these are mostly around the pool area, the beach is probably more quiet and you should be ok getting a parasol there at 10 -11 in the morning and you get a nice cooling breeze as well :sun2 .... Enjoy

Me again , sorry forgot to mention that you do not have to pay for sunbeds on the beach or the pool areas, there is a shop within the complex to buy lilos if you want but what i normally do is buy a couple from poundland before we go out (just for lying on in the pool or sea) and then pass them on when we leave. hope this helps. :sun2

HI, im going to this hotel end of July so I'll let you know. From what I have read, you dont have to pay for sunbeds by the pool or on the beach.
Im really excited about going now :cheers
