Thinking of booking for next year and just wondering what to expect, went to Crete last October 14/21 and had loverly weather, just hoping for more of the same if we go.

Couple of questions,does each building have its own reception, do they expect a tip everytime you go the bar and every time you go for meals, Is there a kids club, what watersports available and how much, what about scuba, is there a class and a dive, again whats the costs,, just over 3 weeks before I go, cant wait.Anyone been recently and got some pics etc.

The hotel do not provide towels for the pool or beach so you need to take your own.some people did use the towels provided in their room but the hotel management put notices up politely asking guests not to do this and also asked guests not to reserve sunbeds before 7am..
The hotel has one reception for all 3 blocks, you are not expected to tip every meal or every evening but the staff do appreciate the tips that they recieve and you will generally get better and more friendly service if you do so. yes there are kids clubs but we have never had the need to use them so i cant really comment. There is no scuba lessons or dive at this hotel but may be available elsewhere, ask the reps as they have very good knowledge of all that is available.
you can do sailing as part of the all inclusive packge and also use of kayaks, other watersports are jet skis costing 30 td for 15 mins for one person or 40 td for two persons, the same charges apply for the parascending. horse riding is currently 25 td for an hours session so about half the cost of the uk and they cater for all abilities.

just found out that you can arrange scuba diving at the marina in monastir, dont know details of prices though. Monastir only 10 mins away by taxi costing about 8 td. hope this helps.

So what are the drinks at the bars like, much choice and is it safe to have ice in them, how was the beer and can the kids get soft drinks ok.Do they have the 2 drink rule, only there is 6 of us going so wud be a pain, is it a midnite finish at the bar and pay afterwards in the disco/late bar(if there is one) and do they have late nite snacks ? Any idea which block is the british block? sorry so many questions and im sure i will think of more.

I'm more bothered about the sunbed situation, it sounds ridiculous, there's 7 of us going with a broad age range so people are going to need beds and it sounds as though there aren't enough of them? If people are putting towels down at 4.00 and leave the beds unused I'll tie the towels in a tight knot and lob them in the pool LOL.
I've already bought a travel parasol so I can provide the kids with at least a bit of shade.

yes its open and quite cheap as well, and we get gala dinners xmas and new year..bet you cant wait to go you will have to fill me in on what it is like x
