Well just come through the door . Had another fabulous 10 days at hilton sharks bay despite a 5 hour delay on the way out.

I so wanted to believe we were just unlucky on the way out but alas the curse of XL has struck us . 33 hours delay on way home. plane boarded on time , then they shut the airport down for president so had to sit on runway for an hour but when we eventually got going the plane had a "technical problem" with oilcap. . engineer was called out , another 2 hours later still sitting on runway and captain came on the speaker again to say this would be his last communication with us and plane was offically out of service and we were to spend the night in hotel. We were all taken back inside , had our passports taken from us and were all taken to various hotels , us to the conrad. We were to await update at 9am . 9am came and went and finally at midday we were told , relax , enjoy yourself , new update would be 6.30 pm . we eventually left hotel at 11.30pm and flew at 3am on the same repaired plane.

what a shambles. after such a wonderful holiday I think im in Deep shock still. this sort of thing always happens to other people not us . well thats what i thought.
