The thing is, it takes them so long to negotiate to buy a watch, much longer than it takes me to buy sarongs, pashminas, jewellery etc combined!
You must be joking, my OH finds the watch he wants and then lets me do the battering! He then wanders off to find the next one.
how apt your Avatar is Rogietlegs!!

HT would like to say at this point that we do not condone the use of violence.
Really must check my posts before I submit them
Perhaps that is what you meant to write!!!! Paula
Getting serious now girls! From a purely practical point of view you understand, I would take wet wipes (there loo roll is so thin) antibacterial gel, torch,(we take a wind up one) swim wear (that bloaters like me can wear)! Is really all we need to take as you can get everything you need there nowadays. My OH takes his mate marmite but you can get that there now too. We really do only need to take the bare minimum. The husband (or wife) the money/cards/TC's (whichever is your preference), passports, my specs (blind as a bat) or/and contacts. This is really all I need so WHY is my case always filled to the max
I know it's sad, but I always take a pack of Andrex with me, wonder what the room boys think when they see it
I am looking forward to walking around the lakes at the Marinha Dourada and watching all the wildlife.
Might spot a few birds as well I guess!!!
I know its daft but Indian nescafe is almost as bad as tea.
Comet do one for £6 so we can leave it there.
dont seem to need an alarm clock as i wake up as the sun comes up and go for a walk to listen to all the birds and wildlife noises. best part of the day is about an hour and a half before you get up.
smudger2
You can buy alarm clocks there very cheaply. The really really cheap ones will just about last for the lifetime of your holiday - try the Saturday morning market along from Neelams. Those black crow things usually wake me up - noisy devils Anyone got a gun
When we stayed at the Sun village it was always the ringing of the cycle bells which woke me, along with the crows. At the annex in the Marinha it is much more peaceful.
Other items to take - a length of strong string for making a washing line and a travel plug for the sink! Tea bags/coffee sachets, a first aid kit, cuddly toy, kitchen sink, cuddly toy, kitchen sink............ no wonder my case is always filled to the max
After my first visit to Goa the things i would definately recommend packing next time.
Good walking shoes. I thought that my little sandals would be fine but they fell apart on the 2nd day and i had a job finding a pair out there. I ended up with some really awful flattie clog things, but at least they were comfortable.
A bum bag, ideal for carrying your cash and safer than a handbag.
Lots of hand gel and wet wipes, i used them constantly.
Coffee. Didnt have one decent cup of it out there, and i love my morning coffee.
What not to pack would make a bigger list! Took far too many clothes and toiletries that didnt get used and i ended up giving to the room boys.
But your right about the cuddly toy, mine refuses to be left at home
I don't do a lot of washing, just the "more personal" items, hubby rinses out our t. shirts. (well trained)! As I usually take so much with me I don't normally run out of anything BUT, i will be using a laundry next time - honest
Lisa, I did get a few Brownie badges too
