Split.Thats good for you. A friend sent theirs off last wednesday and got theirs back to day. I sent mine last thurday and i am still at " A application has been made " stage ! I have emailed them and got a automatic reply ,then another email later saying they are passing it on to the right department. Of course no reply.Must remind myself why i paid them £9.05p . Must be to misplace my application, worse is if they have lost my Passport.
Just called that 95p number. She didnt say anything i didnt already know ,which is they have not received it yet. She said wait 8days i told her its been 8days now. She asked if have family who are from Pakistan and if i have had a call from VFS. I had a number withheld call on wednesday and went to pick it up after 2 rings and it cut off. Have to call back Monday with the name who ever signed for it at VFS.
VFS tracking updates between 12am /1pm when i asked her.Its the weekend tomorrow so sod all going to happen over the weekend so have to wait till Monday now and see what happens then.
If there is a next time i go to Goa iam going to London and hand it in and pick it up again as its easier and you get it back in 3 days.
just thinking that your passport could go missing, but at least its been signed for by staff who are traceable. Good luck
So fingers crossed it should be ok and ay problems i can mail the VFS guy personally.
Just strange why most are coming back within a week and a few are not even in the system after a week. One slow worker i think is there .
e-mail address or contact no for birmingham visa application centre. We submitted our applications more than 2 weeks ago. just got a message today they need marriage certificate. but in message the e-mail address is not very clear. there is no phone no. for them. i got the fax no. 0121-2366262. tried sending the fax on that no. but i think for some reason it is not going through. i am travelling on 4th oct but still not received the passports back. really worried. so if somebody can help please.
Anybody knows the Visa Helpline - 09057570045 but if you look on saynoto0870 theres a cheap number to call.Did you post in ? You need your Web reference number.Passport number, date of birth.I would call them.
Heres link to cheaper numbers ,been told the cheap numbers work
http://www.saynoto0870.co.uk/numbersearch.php
I must have missed something, but why do they need your marriage certificate?
Thats great, it worked. the no. for vfs is 020 7811 3976. just spoke to them and the e-mail address is tresat@vfsglobal.com they need marriage certificate as my spouse is indian.
Oh, I see. Still don't understand why they would want it, as, surely if you were going as an unmarried couple you would both be OK to get in?

Please do not post in phone text type. Thanks
Thats good the cheap number worked for you. That email address you put on is not on the VFS web site.
Good luck with Visa.
i am going to collect it personally on monday hopefully it will be done by monday.
babbal_samrat. Blimey thats the day you are flying Just stay there till you get it.Good luck
i am so excited to go to india, looking so much forward to it.
GOD....Please i get it in time.
Good luck babbal_samrat, my fingers are crossed for you. Paula
Waiting for a Visa to get back is the most stressful part of going to India. I kept thinking i filled in something wrong,i didnt sign it.Worse was i thought i put the envelope addressed to me with passport in and the envelope to them in that,so i would get it back to my self next day.But i did none of those things and got it back after 13 long days
BUT IF I DO GET THE VISA ON MONDAY ANYTIME IN WORKING HOURS THEN I AM VERY VERY LUCKY.
oh my goodness, what a stressful situation to be in babbal-samrat I have got fingers and toes crossed that you get visas in time for your flights on monday, please let us know
Can someone please let me know how much does VFS now charge for a 6month visa ?
Last year they were the usual £30 + fee's(£9.00ish) + postal order fee+ recorded delivery fee.
Ive just looked on VFS site....it states fee in rupees...5250...which equates to £70...is this correct If so, i can say with my hand on my heart, that this will be our last visit..
GREED GREED GREED....
For me it will be the straw that breaks the camels back....

Hi Noggin, No I think you have that wrong the price is still the same as you mentioned above, and they give it in Pounds, dont know where the
£ 70 comes from, and we only got ours last week Unless the 70 is for two visas
Cheers Split....i finally found a price on another web-site.....£30 + £9.05 service charge...
