Hi Claire - I'm sure you won't be disappointed in the Tropicana - we certainly weren't. I don't know about a late check out, but you can always try e mailing the hotel directly, closer to the date. We did this to request rooms, and when we checked in on arrival, the receptionist told us - the rooms you requested are ready for you :tup

Personally I wouldnt bother booking one with the T/O unless it's purely for peace of mind . They usually charge a fortune and most hotels allow you to arrange through recepton on the morning of departure anyway.

They normally tell you to come and check in the morning . We usually have 2 rooms and generally find they allow us to keep one of them at a small charge. Dont pay anything anymore at the hilton as we have a hilton honors card . At the worst they will make a room available to you or allow you to use the spa or something to change and have a shower.

Definately email any requests to the Tropicana direct nearer your departure time . Usually 10-14 days before because they wont have details of your booking from the T/Ops before then . You can't always rely on flight times this early in advance anyway and that could always change . I wouldnt worry too much yet .

I never have paid at all in all my trips to Sharm, this year going with red sea and that comes standard as with food on plane etc.

i soppose if you think about it is anywhere good for 18 month olds prob the answer is no. but aslong as you take the proper precautions for the child it will be ok. if you say spain your child who is easy to catch anything drinking water and many such things mind you the same child can catch something at your local seaside resort in the uk but what did that must have been the local cafe or a dodgy b&b.

a change in lifestyle effects many but if you stick to what you know or how you live you should be fine.

Hi we took our 18mth grandson in feb. He did get bad tummy and so did another family we spoke to they had to get the shop to ship nappies in for him, so take plenty and you should be o.,It was hard because the egyptions love kids and kept doing high fives with him, also he was in high chair so don't no what he picked up from there. He had plenty to drink but would just walk around and it would run out of him. He only ate bread and pasta the whole week.On the planeon the way home he had real bad tummy pains. It has put me off taking my other grandchildren. If i went again I would buy some probiotics from holland and barrat there sweets for children and they build the imune system up.They work for me but not sure on kids. I no its hard because we want to go again.Let me no how it goe's and good luck.
