We certainly seem to be a lot quieter in the last couple of weeks and I'm wondering what it will be like in Goa by the end of March.
If I read the Visa thread, then quite a few others on here I don't think I would go, we do seem to of become negative, don't do & be careful watch out for, and whilst the information can be useful hints tips etc, If I had not been before I would have totally the wrong impression, and it is refreshing when someone posts a positive trip report, IMHO of course
I fear even worse next year, a lot of people had paid and booked before this credit crunch kicked in. I also think that due to less holidaymakers that the Goans will price themselves out of the market by putting up prices to compensate for this. Be a real shame if they did but I cannot see the Goan economic brain cottoning on to this and raise prices regardless
I hope they dont go mad with the prices, just booked flights for December.
Last week we were in Bombay for four days, prices were good, no rip-offs were even tried, and the people, without exception, friendly and helpful. Also shops don't close for ages in the middle of the day!
Today, spent hours in Panjim (partly trying to find out more about Sri Lankan's decision to stop flights to Goa - true!). All the above............back to the normal Goan cr*p.
Yes it's true about Sri Lankan airways cancelling their Goa flights. It comes into effect at the end of the month.
Hi john do you know why? Gel

May is usually the quietest month for the Goa forum. Season well and truely over and next season just seems so long off. You could always use the Goa gossip thread for a general natter
Chilly and Mike left early this morning and are well on their way back to the UK by now

May- october is always very quiet on here. most of us are suffering from Goa withdrawals ;)Reality bites and we realize theres a whole lotta work between now and Goa Things start to pick up again just as the season is getting ready to start.

When I was there in April, I did a book swap at the beach shack but didn't get around to reading the book on holiday. I picked it up to read the other day, was reading away, turned the page and a little trickle of golden sand fell from between the pages. Transported me right back!
