Oh Crikey!! I would have been in bits for the rest of the week!!
sitting at a sea front cafe the other day, I was in conversation with a couple who get to use an apartment in Benidorm whilst the owners go to Goa for six months each year.
I mentioned the changes to visas and asked how they would be affected, they knew nothing about it and didn't think that their Benidorm friends knew either.
Wonder how many more are still going to get caught out.

For anyone in Leeds/Bradford area, we are going to a Bollywood night at the Midland hotel in Bradford in September to get our India fix, you are welcome to join us. The nearest we will get to Goa before December.
enjoy anyway
Shame about that, we don't live there either but its not too far for us.
Our annual (often bi-annual) Goan visit is in doubt this coming season as we are visiting my newly emigrated daughter and family in Australia and stopping off for a week in Thailand (red shirts permitting) on the way back. We didn't think we could justify another month in Goa as well.
However whilst sampling some of Tesco's finest plonk in the garden during the sunny spell last week, Mrs Roma and I both came down with the Goa withdrawal symptoms. Who will be riding our scooter if we don't go? Who will be sat on our balcony enjoying a sundowner? Will there be a glut of Honeybee without my valiant efforts to sup it all? More importantly, can I actually survive without a veg thali in the Plantain Leaf? Doubt it.
The first cracks in our planned year without Goa are showing.....the pull is too strong! Been checking out the flights on Qatar and came perilously close to pressing that "confirm" key!
Anybody finding good flight deals anywhere - mid Feb ish?
Not yet but keep looking... hope to get a deal with kingfisher.. not looking good...
And government increasing fuel tax on long haul flights will not help.
There's hundreds of us all waiting for the prices to drop me included but theres loads of time yet have a bit of faith :rofl..
Brilliant post and one which I wish I had written myself the way I am thinking.
Looking for a holiday in September and nowhere is doing it for me.
If it was not monsoon and everywhere was open we would be there.
All my complaints about Goa fade away and now I can only think of the beach and wonderful relaxing days watching the world go by.
Roll on next season.
Papa
been away in Turkey since 15th May but now back and very much looking forward to my visit in March next year. So I'll be posting the usual garbage until March next year
Late September can be very nice in Goa and if you stay around the Baga area there is a reasonable amount going on ...........just saying

We have booked for Goa for next March. I dont know about November time, I am in two minds my mind tells me to broaden my horizons and try somewhere else, but my heart doesnt tell me that. Plus all that fiasco last November put me off a bit, it was a disaster, but never say never, will just wait and see what pans out
11 September Gemma, a bit near to your hols in Turkey, I am sure you will have a great time over there, better get practising with your belly dancing.
You've booked for March....where and when exactly???
Just found out the I'll be there for Holi again next March, great fun!
I can't remember the last one I went to, but think it was very colourful
Thats a prompt for a couple of pics Chilly
Iain, we fly out on 19 March. Will you be there at the same time?
