Hi
We are ooking at buying an off-plan in Turgetries (Under the Turgetries mountain sign) which has a view of the end of Kos, albeit a distant one. We will either set up a turkish co or buy using my brother in law and buy in his name as he is turkish and wait to put it in our names when the news laws come into effect. Can anybody tell me whether they know if this area of Turgetries will be banned for foreign buyers due to its location?
Thanks
That side of Turgetreis is the half where the military would not grant the clearence to foreigners to get the Tapu. We looked at some nice new build apartments there but were put off when we looked into it. Whilst it seems possible to get around this by just not getting the Tapu you apparently run the risk of the military could sell your property at any time for what ever price, or the other work around is to set up a Turkish company, this can also get exposed if they check out the company accounts.
As I said in my other reply to you, we heard this was going to be relaxed (nothing to do with the current law changes).
Good luck as its a fantastic area
Thank you. Food for thought.
