I'm just back from my GP's after having my typhoid booster, for which I had to pay the prescription charge.
I was just wondering...... if someone actually contracts typhoid or whatever and they haven't had the jabs, will their insurance pay out for the medical costs involved
Food for thought.
hi can anyone advise me if vaccinations are required, we are going to aegean dream resort, asked at gp surgery and they said only if going off tourist trail, thanks
It has been some years since we visited Turkey - does anyone know if vaccinations are still required or needed?
If you are visiting the usual tourist areas, then you don't need any injections!
That's great - thanks
Vaccinations are not compulsory, but they are recommended by the Dept of Health. You can get a booklet from the Post Office called Traveller's Guide to Health which lists what is recommended, usually Hep A, tetanus and polio.
I always check with my doctor each year just to be safe
This topics been covered in the forum already, Some people do and some people dont it's your own choice, I took my Doctor's advice which was no you dont beed any, And have been 14 times before without any problems, So the choice is your's.
Hi we went to Turkey last year and did not have vacinations and we were ok but then two months later we went to Menorca and my daughter picked up a virus that was going round the complex and was very ill. So dont worry as we were healther in Turkey but not so healthy in Menorca!!!!! but its up to you to make your mind up about the vaccinations as it is personal choice.
we have never bothered with any jabs, on doctors advice......and we are up to date on all the usual jabs such as tetnus etc...
