OOOOh - they have tarted up the old zodiak pool a bit - haven't they ?

We should be across the road in the Vista Al Mar in October so we might wander across and have a proper look then ( if it's still open).

Mo - Please let us know what it's like ( and the beer procces in there :cheers )

It's €5 a day for a sunbed, the drinks prices weren't too bad, if I remember right it was €4.50 for a short with mixer but they were toe curling strong measures, €3.50 for a lager and €9 for a bottle of rose. You can get massages, the prices starting from €25. There was a nice atmosphere around the Jacaranda but it wasn't a patch on Cala Nova beach.

Mo we were there in August and the Jacaranda has gone upmarket. It was fairly busy all the time we were there in Es Cana, we never got round to going in there. It was busy all night and well into the early hours. It looked a chill out place where lots of people were relaxing. I think because we were a family we didn`t go in but there were families in there both day and evening.
There was a menu and lists of things like massages, the smoking pipes. They had some entertainment on some nights.

As for refurbishment they look to have pushed the boat out. The wall has come down, the bar area and tables are at the opposite side to before, you enter here and go up steps to the bar. Around where the wall was are the sunloungers with caponies over you (sorry forgot names). The pool looks the same, on the smaller wall now are water feature running along.

All in all it looks a very nice chill out place, will have to go in next time.

We where there last 2 weeks in August. Went to the Jacaranda for our final meal of the holiday at the request of our 7 year old.

Food was ok, although mine was poor. (Don't order the chilli!)

Food and drinks prices no more than anywhere else. I'd suggest you eat in the Vista across the road and then pop over for a drink.

Kids liked relaxing on the Thai canopy beds and hiding behind the curtains.

Its a nice place, worth an evening.

We were planning to visit the jacaranda last week but they shut on the 23rd october.

I would guess that they lost a fair bit of trade given that there were very few sunbeds on the beach and the fantastic weather 8-) (not that I'm gloating)

Edit: Crikey, that was the first post since 2nd October............quiet methinks

Hmmmm - should have qualified my post a bit better.....

The pool area was shut during the day and the bar/restaurant attached to the Zodiak was shut. However the bar/restaurant at the harbour end was open in the evenings until Thurs 29th when they had a closing down sale :)

The menu outside had a list of food they had available at cheap prices and they rubbed out choices as they sold out !
The same applied to seas cafe on the Friday night.
