How organised to you want it to be ?? There are lots of hire companies in PP that will hire you a jeep, you can then take off towards Soller and the Tramuntana mountains, if that is what you are looking for.
Hi Pollensa1946. Yes we want an organised one with proper guides/drivers, either where they drive you, or you drive yourself. An all day event with meal half way round, that kind of thing. A drive into those mountains sounds great, having driven the length of that mountain road on a couple of occassions.
I'm not familiar with any specific jeep safari, but there are several tour agents in the area of the triangle block occupied by the Hotel Eolo, just by the main roundabout in the centre of town. They advertise lots of trips of that kind, but, sorry, I have never used them for a jeep safari.
Actually, the best place to start is at the tourist information office which is located at the bus/taxi terminus adjacent to the marina, again just by the main roundabout.

Yeah...me too! Anyway I agree with the information above. However I dont think I have seen any "guided jeep safaris" advertised while I was there, (4 weeks October) There is a car hiring agency at the end of tne street where I had my apartment, Calle de Gola. Its on the junction with the sea front. I will try to find their website and post it later
I know the people at Motos Formentor very well. They are lovely people and do hire out all kinds of cars, including I believe open-topped jeeps. However, it's worth stating that they do not run/organise jeep safaris, which is what the poster wanted.

Thanks for all your posts (including the slightly bizarre one). I'll check at T/Office when I get out there. There must be one I would have thought because of the local terrain, which would be perfect for some off-roading.

Does anyone know if jeep safaris are on offer in Majorca? We had two excellent jeep safaris in Cyprus, but can't recall anything similar on previous Majorca trips.
Hi Derek, as soon as I saw the title of your post..........it made me think of the jeep safari we went on in Cyprus.........then after reading your post, I see you have also experienced the same.
As for Jeep safaris in Mallorca..........im not so sure they have any?????
If you want to be scared, hire a car yourselves and take a drive up the left (west?) coast yourselves. Some seriously twisty and windy roads with very little barrier to stop you plummeting several hundred feet into the water.
