I can accept that what it says on your confirmation is what is in their reservation system and that is what left your computer. And if this was as big a problem as you suggest we'd have had loads more complaints (they probably take 100 bookings an hour not a week!) and so far we haven't - well not regarding names anyway.
But this isn't the first time we've had complaints about details being wrong with Jet2. In the past it was dates. We never got to the bottom of it but at the time I suspected that the users hadn't gone in and done the booking from start to finish in one simple progression. They had probably checked a few options before picking what they thought was the final one. Going backwards and altering data may have caused the problem and the reason for it may be the users PC or internet connection not Jet2s software - in which they aren't liable. As you have now realised you need to check each screen very carefully especially the one that says it's your last chance before they take the money, the details on that screen are what goes to their reservations. And be very careful entering details on any screens take a long time to build up.
I didn't have any problems when I booked my Jet2 fllights. It does say on their site when going through the booking process that if you have any other Jet2 windows open to close them before booking. I don't know whether that has anything to do with it?
Sunaddict - I think you may be on to something there, I can think of reasons why other windows would cause problems. In fact I've used a site that had that problem but can't think what it was. It was quite slow for me on my old dial up link so I'd use two windows and have seperate searches running in each, if I clicked Search in one before the other had sent it's data they used to get mixed up.
re the replies , i entered the correct details & i certainly would not enter Mrs as Ms as for suggestions of going back during booking, then you are using the Jet2 software and there is a proper BACK button, fair enough if you used the BACK arrow on your browser page then you may have problems , as i stated you can enter the correct details but once you have entered your card details & , submitted them then you are in the hands of Jet2, its the old saying WHEN I AM RIGHT THEN I AM RIGHT & WHEN I AM WRONG I AM STILL RIGHT so you have a no win situation, the reason that i suggested printing every page as you go thru booking proceedures was to safegaurd yourself also the suggestion @ other punters not complainig about incorrect names, well a lot of punters dont like to complain they would rather pay & be done with
Job done, but I re-check everything now before confirming the details.
aprd68, maybe if you try phoning again ( I know its expensive but maybe give it a go) or even try writing to Jet2 at their head office and explaining the situation there may be a more favourable outcome.
Good luck

I've used the Jet2 site frequently and without problems but as with any website, I think that you do have to carefully check all the details before clicking on 'continue' because of the above scrolling problem. However, the last few times I've booked for Jet2 flights I've actually bought them via Travel Republic because they were cheaper! This has usually been because the TR prices include checked in baggage which you have to apy for as an extra if you book firect with Jet2!
SM
Still, flight times are very good and as I said overall price is okay but I just thought that aspect pretty outrageous considering Easyjet is £18 return!
However I'm flying with Jet2 next month and they haven't asked me for it, is that correct?
Some airlines will collect API at the check in some before, you may well be asked soon, also some airlines have different timescales. If you are concerned contact Jet2.com
Jet2 collect API at check in.
Hi, I booked flights with jet2 a couple of months ago and it says on the booking confirmation to provide api via the 'manage my booking' on the website. can be done from when you make the booking and up to 5 hours before departure.
Sorry, I got confused (doesn't take a lot ) as I have done both with Jet2 this year. If it's a flight only it's done online, holidays are done at check in.
Cheers guys.
Advice please. I have just tried to check in online and the padlock in the bottom right of the screen came up with an exclamation mark saying "warning contains unauthenticated content. The browser i am using is Firefox.
My questions are:-
What does this mean?
Is it safe to go ahead and check in, enclosing passport details?
And also, although well travelled, i have never checked in online. Is this easy and if you dont print your boarding pass at the time, can you go back in later and print it off?
Sorry for all the questions so early in a morning but your replies will be appreciated.
Cheers
Linsi
I do wonder about online check-in myself as have never done it either
yep going in August but have slotted 2weeks in July in before and the online check in is now available.
Not so sure about the "warning" thing.
Oh well here goes
Linsi
good luck, Linsi, let me know how you get on !
The deed is done. Sailed through checkin, no queues at all
Was really easy, the most time consuming part was checking over and over again that i had put the passport details in correctly. Took a good hour (only joking), simples...
Linsi
need to do mine in a coupla weeks, thank the lord its straightforward !!
Re: the passport information if you look on your jet2 confirmaton booking form you will see before your name a small open book click on it and it will bring up a box for you to put you passport information in once you have put your information in save and move on to the next passenger, it will leave a small green tick under the passport to confirm you have submited the information.
