I didn't have any problems when I booked my Jet2 fllights. It does say on their site when going through the booking process that if you have any other Jet2 windows open to close them before booking. I don't know whether that has anything to do with it?

Sunaddict - I think you may be on to something there, I can think of reasons why other windows would cause problems. In fact I've used a site that had that problem but can't think what it was. It was quite slow for me on my old dial up link so I'd use two windows and have seperate searches running in each, if I clicked Search in one before the other had sent it's data they used to get mixed up.

re the replies , i entered the correct details & i certainly would not enter Mrs as Ms as for suggestions of going back during booking, then you are using the Jet2 software and there is a proper BACK button, fair enough if you used the BACK arrow on your browser page then you may have problems , as i stated you can enter the correct details but once you have entered your card details & , submitted them then you are in the hands of Jet2, its the old saying WHEN I AM RIGHT THEN I AM RIGHT & WHEN I AM WRONG I AM STILL RIGHT so you have a no win situation, the reason that i suggested printing every page as you go thru booking proceedures was to safegaurd yourself also the suggestion @ other punters not complainig about incorrect names, well a lot of punters dont like to complain they would rather pay & be done with

Crikey, I shall consider myself fortunate. I booked 2 flights last July for this August by logging into My Jet2 Account only to find when I looked at the confirmation that I had the OH entered as Mrs (he is definitely a male, well he was the last time i looked, sorry too much smut :whoops ). It was all down to my fault as I obviously entered the detail wrong in the first place when setting up my account. I phoned the premium rate number in India within about 5 minutes of booking and was told by a pleasant lady that she would change the mistake and that I would not be charged for it.
Job done, but I re-check everything now before confirming the details.

aprd68, maybe if you try phoning again ( I know its expensive but maybe give it a go) or even try writing to Jet2 at their head office and explaining the situation there may be a more favourable outcome.

Good luck

These sort of problems usually happen when people are using the scroll feature on their mouse with drop-down menus - unless you lefthand click on the choice and/or outside of the menu, it will continue scrolling and you end up with something you didn't want. I've seen this happen myself and the first time I noticed this was when I did print off the page with the quoted prices so I had a record of it while I checked for prices with other airlines and realised that it was different to what I thought. With some sites these sort of glitches can happen too if you use the tab key to move down through the dialogue boxes where you fill in the details.

I've used the Jet2 site frequently and without problems but as with any website, I think that you do have to carefully check all the details before clicking on 'continue' because of the above scrolling problem. However, the last few times I've booked for Jet2 flights I've actually bought them via Travel Republic because they were cheaper! This has usually been because the TR prices include checked in baggage which you have to apy for as an extra if you book firect with Jet2!

Booked with Jet2 for the first time to Dalaman on 21st June. Not displeased with the overall price as it's near to flight date, but seriously £15.99 each way for baggage check in??? They make a big thing of it being 22kg but I don't need anywhere near that much but couldn't get away with the 10kg hand luggage only. Some of it I would quite like to be hidden - having to pay to check in whether online or at airport is a bit rich seeing as you have no option but to check in somehow! And they are cheeky charging booking fee even if you are using a debit card.

Still, flight times are very good and as I said overall price is okay but I just thought that aspect pretty outrageous considering Easyjet is £18 return!

I'm flying to Spain with Easyjet this month and they've asked me for the Advanced Passenger Information, no problem.
However I'm flying with Jet2 next month and they haven't asked me for it, is that correct?

Some airlines will collect API at the check in some before, you may well be asked soon, also some airlines have different timescales. If you are concerned contact Jet2.com

Hi, I booked flights with jet2 a couple of months ago and it says on the booking confirmation to provide api via the 'manage my booking' on the website. can be done from when you make the booking and up to 5 hours before departure.

Sorry, I got confused (doesn't take a lot :rofl ) as I have done both with Jet2 this year. If it's a flight only it's done online, holidays are done at check in.

Morning all.
Advice please. I have just tried to check in online and the padlock in the bottom right of the screen came up with an exclamation mark saying "warning contains unauthenticated content. The browser i am using is Firefox.
My questions are:-
What does this mean?
Is it safe to go ahead and check in, enclosing passport details?
And also, although well travelled, i have never checked in online. Is this easy and if you dont print your boarding pass at the time, can you go back in later and print it off?
Sorry for all the questions so early in a morning but your replies will be appreciated.

Cheers

Hi linsi, are you not flying till august ? The closest to your travel date you can check-in online is 28 days , so wouldn't have thought you'd be able to anyway.
I do wonder about online check-in myself as have never done it either :que

The deed is done. Sailed through checkin, no queues at all :rofl
Was really easy, the most time consuming part was checking over and over again that i had put the passport details in correctly. Took a good hour (only joking), simples...

Re: the passport information if you look on your jet2 confirmaton booking form you will see before your name a small open book click on it and it will bring up a box for you to put you passport information in once you have put your information in save and move on to the next passenger, it will leave a small green tick under the passport to confirm you have submited the information.
