Just got back last night from 2 weeks in Goa. Stayed in Marna, between Siolim and Mapusa. Very quiet and excellent apartment from Chris at Spice Villas. We experienced the monsoon rains for 5 days in our first week, but then the sun shone for the remainder. I was very surprised how busy Goa and how many places were open. Lots of Indian tourists were there for Deeshwara and I havent seen Titos road as busy for years. Places open that I can remember just now, Anjuna market, Curlies beach shack in Anjuna, All Spice (opens every year on 31st august), a shack in Ashvem which I cant remember the name right now. Brittos in baga and Cookies beach shack open from 5pm each evening, although he wasnt supposed to... 2 of the shacks on Little Vagator were open as well as one on middle vagator beach. Mango tree in Vagator and hilltops were open with parties each Sunday at hilltops aswell as a full moon one last Saturday with it moving to West End in Saligoa from 12am - 12pm. It seems that West End will be having regular parties as there is another one this weekend.
Loads more places open,in fact you wouldn't have thought the season hadnt started. Had a great time and need to go an unpack now....
Good to hear you enjoyed your hols, it's always great to hear the latest news. Just read in the Herald, that drugs were on sale at West End, did you see any sign of this happening.

I didnt go to West End,but drugs are for sale everywhere, you dont need to go there for them. A walk up the Baga - Calangute Rd and you will be approached several times asking if you want E,LSD,Coke,Hash.
A Nigerian was caught with a large quantity of Coke in Mapusa on his way to the coastal resorts last week in preparation for the season.
Cant believe thats you back already Martin, it goes so quickly doesnt it
Great to hear that you enjoyed it tho. Must have been different seeing Goa during the monsoon time. Are you planning to go back?

Hi Gemma, yes we will go back and probably at the same time again. We were just unlucky with the amount of rain we had which was very unusual for this time of year.
