The last time i went to majorca i was young free and single and enjoyed the wild life in Magaluf .
Now i'm old (well nearly 40ish) I want a quiet resort with a nice beach, nice places to eat and drink ,no chavs or drunken yobs partying till the early hours - so on the recomendation of a friend Ive booked the flora aparthotel in puerto pollensa! We (hubby and 2 kids) are taking my elderlyish parents with us.
I would welcome anyones views on the resort and have I done the right thing???
The Flora Apartments seem to get a good writeup.
Restaurants were all excellent - we did take colouring pencils for the youngest as sometimes there was a slight wait as they were really busy. Staff were always welcoming to the children and they never minded them getting up and looking at the lobsters in the water etc...
Enjoy , it really is a lovely place.
After reading that I cant wait-sounds exactly what we are looking for
just booked for Puerto Pollensa-have I done the right thing?
...yes, without a doubt.
There are lots of little stalls on the Pine Walk selling jewellery
..in May they had been moved to the main square for some reason.
Enjoy !
Do make sure you visit the old town of Pollensa as you will probably enjoy that as well as the port area.
we have just returned from pp and believe it is the most idyllic place we have ever been to, lots of great restaurants, its not the cheapest place we have ever been to but it is lovely, try trios tango los zarzales the tapas on the promenade and many more besides, if you need any specific advise ask away.
I'm so pleased to read all the good comments here....I'm off there a week today! I can't wait!
havnen't been to PP for 5 years, bet there's some changes.....e.g. the bypass
glad you had a good time daveeboy
one thing its so much quicker to get there from the airport
One thing I would like to know is are there some ATM's in PP, to withdraw cash?.
yes quite a few
The majority are in the area of the main Pollensa road as it runs off of the roundabout at the Marina. That's where all the banks are. As stated, there are lots.
There was an ATM in the square last year
I can only ditto what everyone has said about PP. We went last year for the first time and are returning again this August, we never usually go to the same place twice
